I adore the name [name_f]Henrietta[/name_f] - I think it’s positively lovely, and it has some wonderful namesakes, imo. I love the potential nicknames ([name_f]Hettie[/name_f], [name_f]Etta[/name_f], [name_f]Ettie[/name_f]) and how unusual, yet familiar it is.
However, I worry that it might be a bit too “weird” or too “old-fashioned”? I’ve gotten some negative feedback about how old-fashioned names like [name_f]Florence[/name_f] are from family members, so I do have some concerns.
What do you think of [name_f]Henrietta[/name_f]? Could it work?
I think I like it. It’s honestly not my personal cup of tea, but I like the idea of it. It’s totally vintage & charming. Simple, strong, unique, definitely not over done. I like the nn [name_f]Hattie[/name_f] too! Lots of great qualities. It definitely works.
I like [name_f]Henrietta[/name_f]. It does seem old fashioned to me but in a good way. I think it could work, especially with all the nickname possibilities.
I looooove [name_f]Henrietta[/name_f]! I’ve seen a lot of negative feedback on this site for the name, so the question of “could it work” really depends on who you’re asking!
The funny thing is, I’m not a huge fan of classic names, but [name_f]Henrietta[/name_f] is soooo lovely to me! And I love the nn [name_u]Henri[/name_u] on a girl (but the others you listed are also great)
I LOVEEE [name_f]Henrietta[/name_f] and with nn. like [name_f]Hettie[/name_f] and [name_f]Ettie[/name_f] and [name_f]Etta[/name_f] they can totally fit in with the Addies and, Edies, Ellies and Ellas
Also if [name_u]Ryan[/name_u] [name_m]Reynolds[/name_m] and [name_u]Blake[/name_u] Lively went for [name_f]Betty[/name_f] that’s surely going to be on the rise!
Also other 1700/1800 names are back just look at [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] and [name_f]Isabella[/name_f]!! Also I know several people considering [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]. So I think [name_f]Henrietta[/name_f] is fabulous, there should be more Henriettas in the world and you should totally go for it!!
I love [name_f]Henrietta[/name_f]!! It’s definitely not too old-fashioned. I love [name_f]Etta[/name_f] and [name_f]Hattie[/name_f] as nicknames for it! If [name_f]Harriet[/name_f] works, I think [name_f]Henrietta[/name_f] should too!
I love [name_f]Henrietta[/name_f]! It is a bit old fashioned but I feel like it’s sort of in the same category as [name_f]Florence[/name_f] and [name_f]Harriet[/name_f] and is perfectly usable. I like the nicknames [name_f]Hattie[/name_f] and [name_f]Nettie[/name_f]
No offense to your family but they have no idea what they’re talking about! [name_f]Henrietta[/name_f] is a great name and part of what makes it so great is that it’s considered old-fashioned and fallen out of use. It’s a pretty name that everyone will recognize, know how to spell and pronounce, yet you’ll be hard-pressed to actually meet one, making it feel rare and unique. You’ve got an undiscovered gem here, don’t let it go.
Henrietta is too old fashioned for my personal taste, but it is sweet, the nicknames are adorable, and I think it’s usable. There aren’t many names that aren’t usable anymore, honestly. haha [name_f]My[/name_f] great aunt was named [name_f]Henrietta[/name_f] and she went by [name_f]Hennie[/name_f].
