[name_f]My[/name_f] style for boys is a bit more uncommon than what I like for girls. There are two names([name_u]James[/name_u] and [name_m]Henry[/name_m]) that are way more popular than the rest of my list. I’ve thought of using other forms of the names, but none have really caught my eye. The only one that has is [name_m]Henrik[/name_m], but I nixed it because it was to close to my #1 [name_m]Alaric[/name_m]. Most likely I will never use [name_m]Henrik[/name_m], but on the off chance that I fall out of love with [name_m]Alaric[/name_m], I might rethink using [name_m]Henrik[/name_m]. What are your thoughts on [name_m]Henrik[/name_m]?
I really like [name_m]Henrik[/name_m]. I prefer it to [name_m]Alaric[/name_m], if it comes down to it. Still, both are good names and worth keeping around!
I’ve always liked [name_m]Henrik[/name_m], and it’s a great alternative to the ever-popular [name_m]Henry[/name_m].
I like [name_m]Henrik[/name_m] and [name_m]Alaric[/name_m], but I hate [name_m]Rick[/name_m] which I could see the names getting shortened to. That’s what puts me off the name [name_m]Henry[/name_m]–[name_m]Hank[/name_m].
I much prefer [name_m]Alaric[/name_m]. The ‘[name_f]Hen[/name_f]’ portion of [name_m]Henry[/name_m] names puts me in mind of a hen-pecked husband.
I actually work in a small company that has three [name_m]Henrik[/name_m]'s (all in a Nordic country). I like it and much prefer it to [name_m]Henry[/name_m] which is really not a name that I like at all ([name_m]Henri[/name_m] is a different matter again).
I much prefer [name_m]Henrik[/name_m] over [name_m]Alaric[/name_m].
I’m definitely dropping [name_m]Henrik[/name_m]. I am still worried about the popularity of [name_m]Henry[/name_m], but I love it so much more than [name_m]Henrik[/name_m].
@historygirl
I didn’t even think about [name_m]Rick[/name_m] for [name_m]Henrik[/name_m]. I have [name_u]Ali[/name_u] and [name_u]Ari[/name_u] for [name_m]Alaric[/name_m], but have no ideas for [name_m]Henrik[/name_m]. The nickname situation is another one of my problems with [name_m]Henry[/name_m]. I love [name_m]Henry[/name_m], but hate all the nicknames.
