Here's a name I haven't seen on here in a LONG while

So I was thinking about some old names I used to like when I was younger when I remembered a particular name that strangely I haven’t seen on here in a very long time. I have read just about every single name you can imagine on here (this site is full of Charlottes, Sophias, Lilys, Seraphinas, Aurelias, Aramintas, Junipers, etc) but when’s the last time you saw the name…

[name_f]Demetra[/name_f] / [name_f]Demetria[/name_f] ?

I need thoughts on this name, what do you think?

I’m personally not fond of it. Although I do like the nickname [name_f]Demi[/name_f].

[name_f]Demetra[/name_f] is cute! I know many of them, included a adorable small girl. I dont like [name_f]Demetria[/name_f]. It sounds weird to me.

I actually wondered why the name isn’t more popular. I am neutral on it now- though I used to be obsessed with [name_f]Demetra[/name_f] about 6 years ago, I was so sure that I was going to change my name to it lol.

But with your response, I’m now wondering if it just isn’t popular because no one likes it anymore…

I think they are both lovely  I don’t know if I’d use them personally, but I am still very fond of them.

I think they are pretty but also pretty bold. I used to like [name_f]Demetra[/name_f] myself (because of the girl from Spy Kids, which is where I first heard it lol) but could never really see myself using it. Maybe I only liked the idea of it. I guess I just lost interest in it over time because I completely forgot about it.

Cool name. I feel like [name_f]Demi[/name_f] [name_m]Moore[/name_m] and [name_f]Demi[/name_f] Lovato make it feel more common than it actually is.

I like [name_f]Demetria[/name_f] and [name_f]Demi[/name_f]! My younger sister had a friend who was [name_f]Demetria[/name_f], I believe, and I’ve always thought the name was rather sweet! I prefer just [name_f]Demi[/name_f], myself though.

I’m not a fan of [name_f]Demetra[/name_f] as I know many and I don’t think any of them like their name.
That said, [name_f]Demetria[/name_f] is beautiful! Funny how a single letter can change so much. I like that it gives you more nickname options in case she doesn’t like [name_f]Demi[/name_f] ([name_f]Dia[/name_f] or [name_f]Ria[/name_f] for example).
[name_f]Demi[/name_f] Lovato makes the names usable and not too out-there despite how uncommon they actually are in English-speaking countries

I like [name_f]Demetria[/name_f].

Funny you bring it up-- my journal is named [name_f]Demetria[/name_f]! Each journal I write in has a different name, and I start each entry like a letter. I have an enormous, old dictionary that also has names in it, so I opened to a random page and found [name_f]Demetria[/name_f]. I love it!

The name is ok sounding only to me, it’s nice because of its greek mythology associations, but the sound itself is kind of harsh and abrupt with the D and -tra, but that could just be me. It’s definitely not one of those flowy soft names, but it’s a good name if you’re looking for strong girl names, kind of like [name_f]Athena[/name_f].

[name_f]Demetria[/name_f]. I like it better than [name_f]Demetra[/name_f].
