Holiday Cards

I live in the NE (NYC area to be exact) and received holiday cards this year from people along the east coast with a few west coasters and TXans. Here are some surprising trends in our cards:
[name]Julia[/name] (4)
[name]Caroline[/name] (4)
[name]Emma[/name] (2
[name]Emily[/name] (2)
[name]Charlotte[/name] (2)
[name]Paige[/name] (2)
[name]Isabel/name (2)
[name]Tommy[/name] (2)
[name]Max[/name] (2)
[name]Griffin[/name] (2)
[name]Ryan[/name] (b) (2)
[name]Jake[/name] (3)
[name]Zachary[/name] (3)
Anyone else?

I would say that [name]Julia[/name], [name]Caroline[/name], [name]Emily[/name], and [name]Charlotte[/name] also figured heavily into our (TX) Xmas card stats. As for the boys, it’s all about [name]Henry[/name] and [name]William[/name] with a few Carters and Parkers thown in for good measure.

I keep expecting to notice lots of repition in my friends’ kids’ names but there’s really very little. I went through my card list, and here’s what my buddies have been naming their kids. All of these kids are under age 6 and either live in [name]Texas[/name] or their parents are from TX:
[name]Carson[/name] (girl)
[name]Alex[/name] (2 boys, one girl)
[name]Henry[/name] (nn [name]Hank[/name])
[name]Margaret[/name] (nn [name]Maggie[/name])
[name]Hayley[/name] (2)

Let’s see, in NE but getting cards from all over we have:

[name]Evelyne[/name] ([name]Evy[/name])
[name]Eleanor[/name] ([name]Ellie[/name])
[name]Abigail[/name] ([name]Abby[/name])
[name]Nicholas[/name] ([name]Nico[/name])
[name]Charles[/name] ([name]Charlie[/name]) (2)
[name]John[/name] [name]Thomas[/name] (never just [name]John[/name]!)
