We are considering the name [name_f]Hattie[/name_f] for our daughter, we really love the vintage feel of it and it is a nod to a deceased family member on my husband’s side (Hadassah)
We’re not planning to have more children so we want this to be perfect
Since she’ll likely grow up between [name_m]Israel[/name_m] and the US so we were drawn to a name that feels simple, easy to say, and international.
We also have considered [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] and [name_f]Lainey[/name_f] but we love [name_f]Hattie[/name_f] the most, any suggestions similar would be appreciated!!
[name_f]Love[/name_f] [name_f]Hattie[/name_f]! [name_m]You[/name_m] might like [name_f]Lottie[/name_f], Nell(ie), [name_f]Marnie[/name_f], [name_f]Tillie[/name_f] or [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] - but [name_f]Hattie[/name_f] sounds great for you.
I adore [name_f]Hattie[/name_f], and I think it’s lovely with your last name. I know [name_f]Dassy[/name_f] can be a [name_f]Hadassah[/name_f] nickname, so I’ll suggest that too. [name_f]Hattie[/name_f] has my heart!
i’ve also seen it spelled [name_f]Haddie[/name_f], which might be great in your case. [name_f]Dessa[/name_f] could could be an honor or nickname as well
overall, H.attie G.oldberg is a great, strong name for a little woman. in full, it can mean “Ruler of the [name_m]Golden[/name_m] Mountain” which sounds like the coolest movie ever
I think [name_f]Hattie[/name] is gorgeous - it’s a great honour and it’s absolutely charming. I think it ticks all your boxes and it’s my favourite out of your options.
Absolutely love [name_f]Hattie[/name_f] she’s very cheerful and sweet. I think [name_f]Hattie[/name_f] G0ldbu.rg has a brilliant overall sound and is a fun nod to [name_f]Hadassah[/name_f]. You’ve had lots of lovely suggestions but I think also [name_f]Hadley[/name_f] could work as a nod to [name_f]Hadassah[/name_f].
[name_f]Hattie[/name_f] is beautiful and a lovely way to honor a [name_f]Hadassah[/name_f]! I’m sorry for your loss. It fits all your criteria to me—my only concern is how usable it is in other languages? I think it’s fine in English—would it pose problems in Hebrew? In my experience, -ie endings and H’s work great in [name_f]English[/name_f] and [name_m]French[/name_m] but are more complicated in other languages, but if it works in Hebrew I would say that she’s a winner! Good luck!
