Honest Opinions on Some GP Names?

[name_m]Hi[/name_m], berries. In a near-perfect world where spelling, pronunciation, associations, popularity, etc. wasn’t an issue, what would be some opinions on a few of my GP names themselves? [name_m]Just[/name_m] looking for some brutal honesty and criticism of these “reserved for non-child use” names, minus the aforementioned factors and just centered around the names themselves. Thank you!

Scheherazade (sheh-HEHR-ah-zod/sha-HEHR-ah-zod)

[name_f]Cleopatra[/name_f]

Evangelika (the [name_m]German[/name_m] pronunciation is even more swoon-worthy [name_f]IMO[/name_f])

[name_f]Jezebel[/name_f]

[name_f]Andromeda[/name_f]

I think [name_f]Cleopatra[/name_f] is the most usable, especially with the nickname [name_f]Cleo[/name_f]. It’s a classic historical name that’s easy to spell and that most people would recognize. [name_f]Cleopatra[/name_f] VII was one of the most fascinating women in [name_m]History[/name_m], even though her image is still reduced to the asp, [name_m]Shakespeare[/name_m], and [name_f]Liz[/name_f] [name_u]Taylor[/name_u].

[name_f]Andromeda[/name_f] could also work thanks to the friendly nickname [name_u]Andy[/name_u]. I think there was a movie a few months ago with a character by that name.

Scheherazade is just too burdensome, spelling-wise, and has no short form to save it; it would make a cool middle name, though. [name_f]Jezebel[/name_f] is a word in the English language with a less than pleasing meanings. Evangelika sounds too much like Evangelical; in these 2 cases it would depend on how much these associations bother you.

I like [name_f]Cleo[/name_f]. [name_m]Just[/name_m] [name_f]Cleo[/name_f], though, not [name_f]Cleopatra[/name_f]. I like the simplicity of [name_f]Cleo[/name_f]. Also the O ending that seems to be slowly trending.
I like [name_f]Jezebel[/name_f], but I read it can have a negative connotation in regards to a women’s reputation, aka “loose.”
[name_f]Jezebel[/name_f] is most usable in the middle to me. I get turned off by really long, especially long and frilly names, no offense.

Scheherazade (sheh-HEHR-ah-zod/sha-HEHR-ah-zod)- I personally dislike this name, it is a little cumbersome for a child to bear.

[name_f]Cleopatra[/name_f]- Maybe… I like Kleodora and [name_f]Clea[/name_f]- Kleodora is a Greek goddess/nymph of bees. She was also a prophet, with two sisters: [name_m]Daphnis[/name_m] and [name_f]Melaina[/name_f]. and [name_f]Clea[/name_f] was a character in [name_u]Lawrence[/name_u] Durrel’s [name_f]Alexandria[/name_f] Quartet.

Evangelika (the [name_m]German[/name_m] pronunciation is even more swoon-worthy [name_f]IMO[/name_f]) -I love [name_f]Evangelina[/name_f] and [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f], as well as [name_f]Evangelica[/name_f].

[name_f]Jezebel[/name_f]- No.

[name_f]Andromeda[/name_f]- I really like this. It is unique and was the name of a princess in Greek mythology. I also like [name_u]Artemis[/name_u] and [name_f]Hestia[/name_f]. They all have very sweet nickname options: [name_u]Andy[/name_u]/[name_f]Dree[/name_f]/[name_m]Eddie[/name_m], [name_m]Art[/name_m]/[name_m]Artie[/name_m] and [name_f]Tia[/name_f]/[name_f]Hettie[/name_f].

Scheherazade (sheh-HEHR-ah-zod/sha-HEHR-ah-zod)- I personally dislike this name (though I like the 1001 Arabian Nights connections), it is a little cumbersome for a child to bear. You could use [name_f]Zadie[/name_f] if it was for a girl though.
