[name_m]Hi[/name_m] again, Berries! By now, you’re probably tired of me LOL. What is your HONEST opinion on the name [name_f]Adalie[/name_f]? I love the nickname [name_f]Addie[/name_f] and I love how cute it is! What are your thoughts on [name_f]Adalie[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u]? Thank you!
Honestly, I find it sounds incomplete. Like it should either be [name_f]Adalia[/name_f], [name_f]Natalie[/name_f], or [name_f]Adalyn[/name_f]. I see the appeal though, it just feels a bit incomplete.
@[name_u]Mickie[/name_u]: I like your suggestion of [name_f]Adalyn[/name_f], thank you
I think [name_f]Adalie[/name_f] is a great “[name_m]Ad[/name_m]” name with the huge upside (imo) of not getting automatically shortened to [name_f]Addie[/name_f] (such as [name_u]Addison[/name_u], [name_f]Adeline[/name_f], [name_f]Adalyn[/name_f]). That said, some people might think you’re saying [name_f]Addie[/name_f] rather than [name_f]Adalie[/name_f] and since you like the nickname [name_f]Addie[/name_f] a bit it might be worth going for something longer. I also like [name_f]Adalia[/name_f], but honestly love the simplicity of just [name_f]Ada[/name_f] or [name_f]Aida[/name_f].
Sounds like half of [name_f]Natalie[/name_f].
Thank you for your opinions. I can’t use [name_f]Natalie[/name_f] for personal reasons, unfortunately. @Aym, you make a great point about [name_f]Addie[/name_f], and I think I have to agree. [name_f]Adalie[/name_f] will be [name_f]Adalie[/name_f], period.
I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] the name [name_f]Adalie[/name_f]!! I think it’s more original than some of the other ‘[name_m]Ad[/name_m]’ girl names suggested. [name_f]My[/name_f] friend’s little girl is [name_f]Atalie[/name_f] & that name’s at the top of my list of faves for girls. So naturally, I would like [name_f]Adalie[/name_f] too. I hope you use it!! I think it’s modern & beautiful!! And in my personal opinion, shortening it with the very common, & I think overly-saturated, nickname [name_f]Addie[/name_f], takes that uniqueness away from such a special & already perfect name!!!
@1st_on_the_way: Thank you! I actually know an [name_f]Adalie[/name_f] and an [name_f]Adalee[/name_f]…they are the cuties that made me love the name! It is very modern, that’s what I love about it
I feel like its a misspelt [name_f]Adelie[/name_f] (which i sometimes call my sister) I don’t think of half a [name_f]Natalie[/name_f] because I say the T in [name_f]Natalie[/name_f]
I like [name_f]Adalie[/name_f], it has a nice sound, but I do prefer [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] (I pronounce the end like the word line), [name_f]Natalie[/name_f], or [name_f]Natalia[/name_f]. With all the other trendy, kre8tiv Jaidens, Jaylens, and Kadens running around, [name_f]Adalie[/name_f] isn’t so bad. I’d rather meet an [name_f]Adalie[/name_f] (especially because I love the nn [name_f]Addie[/name_f]), than another [name_f]Nevaeh[/name_f] or [name_f]Kaylee[/name_f].
[name_f]Adalie[/name_f] seems misspelled to be perfectly honest. Somebody else commented the term “incomplete” and that also makes sense. [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f], [name_f]Adele[/name_f], [name_f]Adeline[/name_f], [name_u]Addison[/name_u] are all ways to get to [name_f]Addie[/name_f]. I only really like [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] and [name_f]Adele[/name_f] but then this is not my baby, and my personal style doesn’t truly matter. If [name_f]Addie[/name_f] is what you love, then [name_f]Addie[/name_f] she should be!
Not really my thing. It’s not awful though, just a bit silly sounding to me.
[name_m]How[/name_m] are you pronouncing it? Aye-dah-lee or add-ah-lee? Either way both really nice.
I think it has the right balance of uniqueness and fullness. It doesn’t feel like on of those names that has just had different common endings put onto it or had different names put together. Its nice, I like it.
And I agree with the comment of it not having to be another ‘[name_f]Addie[/name_f]’. Its just too pretty, but I love the nickname [name_f]Addie[/name_f] so I have no problem either way.
I thought of this name when I was trying to come up with a cute “[name_m]Ad[/name_m]” alternative to [name_f]Adelle[/name_f]. Then after a few times of saying it out loud, I realized how it sounded like attempt to recreate [name_f]Natalie[/name_f].
So, I would just use [name_f]Natalie[/name_f]. It’s popular, yes, but I know a very sweet little [name_f]Natalie[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f], and I think [name_f]Natalie[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] would be equally sweet, too.
