My hubby and I are TTC and I’ve been thinking a lot about honor names. I have 4 people who I would love to honor when naming my children and I’m trying to come up with combos that I love as well!
Myself, my mom and my mother-in-law all have some variation of “[name_f]Anne[/name_f]” in our names. My middle name is [name_f]Anne[/name_f], my mom’s [name_f]Antoinette[/name_f], and my [name_f]MIL[/name_f]'s name is [name_f]Diane[/name_f].
My favorite [name_f]Anne[/name_f] name is [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f], followed closely by [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] (although [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] Randazzo doesn’t really sound that great).
[name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] ______ Randazzo (no idea what a middle name would be)
Second option is my husband. His middle name is [name_m]Louis[/name_m] and I love the names [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] and [name_f]Louisa[/name_f]. I think they both sound nice with our last name.
[name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] is a favorite of mine, and I think [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] Randazzo is nice, but maybe a mouthful.
Hubby’s sister is [name_f]Nicole[/name_f], which admittedly isn’t a favorite of mine, but I do think [name_f]Colette[/name_f] is sweet. I would probably use it as a middle.
What do you think berries? I have these names listed below written down. What combo would you use to create the perfect little girl’s name? Or what variation of these honor names would you pick?
If I had the excuse you have (it being in the family) I’d use [name_f]Antoinette[/name_f] as a first name in a heartbeat. [name_m]Don[/name_m]'t have the guts though
[name_f]Annaliese[/name_f] is definitely my favorite of the names you listed. I also think [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_f]Colette[/name_f] would sound good. Another [name_f]Anne[/name_f] named that you don’t have listed is [name_f]Annabeth[/name_f]. I think [name_f]Annabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] would sound nice as well. Would you pronounce [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f]-uh-leese or ah-nun-leese?
[name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] [name_f]Colette[/name_f] Randazzo is amazing! If you go with this name, [name_f]Annette[/name_f] could be a possible nickname; [name_f]Ann[/name_f] from her first name -ette from [name_f]Colette[/name_f]! I also like [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] [name_f]Natalia[/name_f] Randazzo. Third favorite would be [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] Randazzo; if you’re into nicknames, ‘[name_f]El[/name_f] [name_f]Bel[/name_f]’ would be absolutely precious. Thoughts on these combinations?
I just wanted to comment to say, I actually think [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] Randazzo sounds great!
I really like [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] [name_f]Natalia[/name_f] and [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] [name_f]Colette[/name_f]. [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] [name_f]Colette[/name_f] is my next choice. Good luck!
I also love [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] [name_f]Colette[/name_f]! Two of my favorite names. It sounds so sweet =]
Others that sound gorgeous:
[name_f]Annabel[/name_f] [name_f]Natalia[/name_f]
[name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] [name_f]Natalia[/name_f]
[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] Annelissa (idk if you’d like it) [name_f]Natalia[/name_f] [name_f]Annabel[/name_f]
[name_f]Natalia[/name_f] [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f]
You have so many amazing options!
Now, [name_f]Colette[/name_f] is such a pretty name and such a creative way to honor [name_f]Nicole[/name_f], but if you wanted a couple other options, I have:
[name_f]Nicolette[/name_f]
[name_f]Nicolina[/name_f]
[name_f]Noelle[/name_f] (seems like a stretch, but it’s only missing two of [name_f]Nicole[/name_f]'s letters, this makes a great middle.)
Oh yeah, I also wanted to second that I think [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] sounds beautiful with your last name!
It may also be a bit of a mouthful, but what do you think of [name_f]Louisiana[/name_f]? It would be very on trend with names of states and cities like [name_u]London[/name_u] and [name_u]Tennessee[/name_u] becoming popular and blends [name_f]Anne[/name_f] and [name_f]Louise[/name_f].
I love [name_f]Louisa[/name_f]! My daughter has it as a middle name and it’s also a family name. I haven’t regretted it once in the last four years and I’m very indecisive about names! I’m a big fan of [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_f]Colette[/name_f]. If you like [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] but think it’s too much maybe [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] could work? I love the sound of [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] Randazzo! Also love [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] (nn [name_f]Annie[/name_f]?) [name_f]Louise[/name_f] Randazzo.
I think you’ll end up creating a beautiful combination whatever you pick, good luck!
[name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] is by far my favorite (SO pretty!), but I think [name_f]Louise[/name_f] can be a great middle name for first names that don’t end in some sort of “s” sound. Good luck!
To honour [name_f]Anne[/name_f], I immediately thought of [name_f]Annie[/name_f], which I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u], but out of your list I like [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] and [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] (although I’d spell [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] [name_f]Annabelle[/name_f]).
