I need boys/girls names to honor my cousin [name_u]Shelly[/name_u]. Her full name was [name_f]Rochelle[/name_f] if that helps but she hated it and always went by [name_u]Shelly[/name_u]. I already have [name_u]Shai[/name_u] on my list for boys, and I’m just going to say right now that I really do not like the name [name_u]Sheldon[/name_u].

Maybe another -chelle name, like [name_f]Michelle[/name_f] or [name_f]Rachelle[/name_f].
Shelby and [name_u]Shiloh[/name_u] have similar sounds. [name_u]Shea[/name_u] (or [name_u]Shay[/name_u]) too—I like [name_u]Shea[/name_u] and [name_u]Shiloh[/name_u] for a boy or a girl.
Ronan and [name_f]Elle[/name_f] came to mind. Anything that means “meadow” would work too because that’s the meaning of [name_u]Shelly[/name_u].
Would her birth month work for you? Perhaps [name_u]August[/name_u], [name_u]January[/name_u], [name_f]April[/name_f], [name_f]May[/name_f]… Or possibly her birth stone or flower? There’s also perhaps her favourite vacation spot, a hobby, or something relating to her occupation. If this idea feels usable to you we could brainstorm names relating to them.

[name_f]Rochelle[/name_f] means little rock and [name_u]Shelly[/name_u] means clearing on a bank; who is like god; ewe; little rock, so anything that has a similar meaning would work. Also, some names I’ve found sound similar as well.

I was already thinking [name_m]Lev[/name_m] as a Hebrew name for whatever honor name I go with because [name_m]Lev[/name_m] means heart and she was one of the first people to have the heart surgery that I had to have, so maybe more names with heart or medicine related meanings? [name_m]Raphael[/name_m] is also already on my list.
