I was in the airport a few weeks ago and there was an employee named [name]Lolita[/name]. I thought that was fun. Oh! Then there was one named LaPorcha.
[name]Donte[/name] isn’t terrible.
Takeela is hideous.
I think the Saudia you heard was probably a [name]Sadia[/name]. A very lovely name, if you ask me!
Aschyer…wow. I’m not against some creative spellings, a y instead of an i or something like that, but how would you even get [name]Asher[/name] out of that? It looks like ask-yer or something. Some interesting names from my mom’s k-3 class:
Phiven- pronounced Pih- ven(short I as in [name]Indian[/name])
Bogan- like [name]Logan[/name] with a B
Akinbowale(this one is neat, it is Nigerian, the little boy’s dad is Nigerian)
Ziana - pronounced zye- anna ( long I and short a)
[name]Samara[/name]- pronounce suh-mar-a as in the planet [name]Mars[/name]
I think there are more but that’s all I can remember right now.
[name]Donte[/name]? Yeah, I know a [name]Dontae[/name]. It does get worse, lol! Which is why I totally can’t see the appeal of [name]Dante[/name], people around here have taken it and made it trendy and low-class and meh.
I know 5 girls named Th0ujmarie, D’M0rnay, K@biliyza, T!que (said like a tiki lamp!), and R@hasha. The first three being sisters. I’m not sure it gets worse than that. They’re, for the most part, adorable, well-behaved little girls, but ey, their names!
I like [name]Dante[/name] spelled that way, not so keen on the [name]Donte[/name] spelling but maybe the parents were trying to enforce [name]Don[/name]-tay rather than [name]Dan[/name]-tay pronunciation from people not familiair with the name.
Aschyer truly is awful, as is Takeela - at least [name]Asher[/name] and [name]Dante[/name] are legit names, unlike [name]Tequila[/name], even if they’re not the conventionl spellings being used.
And [name]Libby[/name], you’d better hope little Bogan doesn’t go to Australia, it’s a slang term over there for a chav/white trash etc (Aussie Berries, correct me if I’m wrong, it’s just what I’ve picked up from a couple of Aussie shows I watch)
