Oh I thought I was the only one who dislikes unrelated nicknames!
Okay my first hot take: I strongly dislike nickname names! I am a major nicknamer (I call my sister like 30 different things) and it just pains me to think that these kids will have no loving nicknames.
Second hot take: I also even more strongly dislike city names. They are cities not names! You can come up with a name for your child that is actually a name. (Weirdly enough I don’t have a problem with nature names.)
Final hot take: names that are very long and ancient sounding (Aurelius, Maximilian, Clement, Hadriana, Quintessa, Eulalia) don’t sound “posh” or “stuck up” at all to me! Especially if they have lots of nickname potential.
