Ok say your still a teenager between the ages of 16-18 or say you’d still live @ home with your very conservitive Mom & Dad, 3 sisters and little brother. Ok and you get pregnant with your boyfriend of one year and you know you have to tell the bf and the fam, but how???! [name]How[/name] do you aproach them? What do you say? What words are appropiate and which words should you prevent?? This is so confusing and I need help as quickly as possible!!!

[name]Hi[/name] Flicka- I think the best thing to do is make it quick. [name]Don[/name]'t drag it out. [name]Just[/name] tell your bf and your mom and dad that you have something to tell them, and say that your pregnant. You say they are very conservative, so it’s unlikely that even trying to sugar-coat it would do any good easing the shock. [name]Just[/name] be strong. Be prepared for a little bit of anger, confusion, sadness. Hopefully though, given a little time, your parents will be able to be a support to you and your bf, and this growing baby.

Like the pp said, you just have to do it. The longer you wait, the worse the reaction will be. I waited awhile because I was afraid of a horrible reaction. I told my bf but not my parents. I was all set to go off to a top college and as an only child I was so worried about disappointing my parents. But The reaction is never as bad as you imagine it will be. I wont pretend my parents were happy and chill with it…but they definitely didn’t disown me like I feared they would.
