How Do We Feel About Chloe?

I’m starting to like this one. I like the story of Dafnis and [name_f]Chloe[/name_f]. I like the sound of it. I like the look. But is it too popular? I’ve never met one and the only one I’ve heard of is the cute blonde on Dance Moms (she is my favorite).
The only problem I have is that it feels too short. [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] and [name_f]Chloe[/name_f] give me different feelings. [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] has always been a full name to me, since I know one, but [name_f]Chloe[/name_f] feels almost like a nickname. Any ideas for a full name? Should I just leave it alone? I don’t really care about the Kardashian association, because they’ll be old news by the time I have kids. What do you guys think?
Thanks!

I think [name_f]Chloe[/name_f] is a pretty name. It actually feels more complete to me than [name_f]Zoe[/name_f]. I only know two Chloes, one is an adult and one is a toddler. The only full names I can think of are [name_f]Nicole[/name_f] or [name_f]Colette[/name_f] or [name_f]Clothilda[/name_f]. I really like it by itself though.

I love the name [name_f]Chloe[/name_f]. I haven’t met any, but I would love to. [name_f]Chloe[/name_f] sounds, to me, very complete and pretty, so it doesn’t need a full name.

For a name that is so popular, I’ve only met one [name_f]Chloe[/name_f], and she’s my niece. It’s one of those cases of names being regional, because its #11 on the SSA list, but we often encounter people who comment how ‘rare’ a name like [name_f]Chloe[/name_f] is.

I’m going to be biased, obviously, but to me [name_f]Chloe[/name_f] is a dream of a name. It’s lovely and spunky and sunshiney and timeless, and i adore it.

I like [name_f]Chloe[/name_f] on its own, personally. It’d make a cute nickname for [name_f]Clothilde[/name_f], though.

I love the name, [name_f]Chloe[/name_f]. Although popular, I have only met one about 18-19 years ago in elementary. (Gosh, does that show my age? ^_^) Any who, I have always had [name_f]Chloe[/name_f] as one of my back up names. [name_m]Just[/name_m] in case I am not bold enough to use my more eccentric names in my signature.

The [name_f]Chloe[/name_f] I knew was very bubbly, outspoken, and sweetly spoiled. She usually always had a smile that showcased her dimples. I loved the way her mom dressed her (even though we were in uniforms). She would have pretty big bows/ribbons in her long pressed double-ponytails or [name_f]Shirley[/name_f] [name_u]Temple[/name_u] Curls in double-ponytails–and those cute ruffle socks. Sometimes, if she ran into her older sister, should would help her primp her clothing or hair rather she like it or not. [name_m]Just[/name_m] from my little memory from her, I had grown to love the name [name_f]Chloe[/name_f]. Lol, too much?

Although I have not met her, but an high school classmate has a toddler named, [name_f]Khloe[/name_f].

Thanks for all your responses! I’m glad to see some love for [name_f]Chloe[/name_f]. I think it has a romantic sound. I’ve never met one, and it seems that it isn’t as popular as the lists say. Thanks again!

I adore [name_f]Chloe[/name_f].
Here in [name_m]Oz[/name_m] it’s top 5.
It’s also well liked by bogans.
That puts me off.

Which is a shame because it’s such a pretty name.

I think [name_f]Chloe[/name_f] sounds gorgeous, but around where I live, I know a truck ton of them. A new little [name_f]Chloe[/name_f] was just born a few months ago, actually, daughter of someone I knew from high school. Thus, for me, it’s way too popular. I think it depends on how it is in your area, though.

I like it, but I like all the short -e ending Greek names: [name_f]Chloe[/name_f], [name_f]Zoe[/name_f], [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f], [name_f]Ione[/name_f], [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f], etc.

[name_f]Chloe[/name_f] has a nice meaning and a mythology connection without being particularly challenging or pretentious. It’s not [name_f]Eurydice[/name_f] or [name_f]Antigone[/name_f].

I do find -ee names clunky with my married surname, which is my own personal tragedy, lol. Sounded great with my maiden name! So I could easily see myself not using [name_f]Chloe[/name_f] - but not because I hate the name.
