How do we feel about Tatiana?

Why is she so low on the charts? (US)

Thank you :purple_heart:

I really like it. It’s princessy but also spiky and spunky. I think of the heroine of [name_m]Eugene[/name_m] Onegin, who is sweet but strong, just like the name. Definitely one of my favourite -ana names, which I don’t usually love because they tend to feel a bit frilly for me. But I love the Russian ones like [name_f]Tatiana[/name_f], [name_f]Roksana[/name_f], Oksana… they blend feistiness and femininity beautifully.

And unpopular opinion probably, but I think nickname Tati/Tatty is absolutely adorable

Oh I definitely agree! Tati is adorable! & Roksana has always caught my attention as well

I feel like I must check out Eugene Onegin now for myself! :star_struck: Thank you so much xx

I love [name_f]Tatiana[/name_f]! It has a lot of spice to it. [name_f]My[/name_f] grandaunt’s name is [name_f]Tatiana[/name_f] with the nn [name_f]Tati[/name_f], so I see it as more of a Spanish name (she’s from Ecuador).

[name_f]Tatiana[/name_f] is pretty sweet and spiky! I do quite like it though I wonder if the first syllable “tat” puts people off?

The way I pronounce it would be tah-tee-AH-na, making the first syllable “tah.”

For me, [name_f]Tatiana[/name_f] will always be associated with classical music, Russian, flamboyance and very distinct perfume. It is the name of someone who is very much my russian fairy godmother

Maybe because it remind people of titans or because it’s quite a long and heavy name?

I used to LOVE this name when I was younger haha. Not so much now, but I was obsessed with the idea of naming my daughter [name_f]Tatiana[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and nicknaming her [name_f]Tatia[/name_f].

This is a great name! Very powerful, elegant feeling. I always thought of it as very Russian, but I knew a [name_f]Tatiana[/name_f] who was not at all of Russian heritage and it suited her well. [name_f]Tiana[/name_f] could also be a nickname.

[name_u]Truly[/name_u], I think [name_f]Tatiana[/name_f] isn’t high on the charts in the US because Americans are lazy (I say this as an American). There’s no “lazy” way to say [name_f]Tatiana[/name_f] … you absolutely have to pronounce the second T and I think people don’t like that.

I grew up with a friend named [name_f]Giulietta[/name_f]. Everyone pronounced it as “julie-edda” (which she hated). This is where my theory about [name_f]Tatiana[/name_f] comes from, lol.

I think it’s a beautiful name in Russian, Spanish etc but my accent ruins it, unfortunately. I associate it with the Russian Grand Duchess [name_f]Tatiana[/name_f] (the older sister of the more famous Anastasia).

I like it! It was my 'Spanish" name in Spanish class
