We have son [name_m]Beckett[/name_m] and a daughter [name_u]Hadley[/name_u]. We are due in [name_u]July[/name_u] and think we have our girls name picked if it’s a girl. Having a really hard time with boys names. Our current front runner is [name_m]Foster[/name_m]. Thoughts, opinions, first reactions?
[name_m]Foster[/name_m] is not my style, but I think if you like it, then go for it! It fits in well with [name_m]Beckett[/name_m] and [name_u]Hadley[/name_u]!
[name_m]Foster[/name_m] is daring, I’d say, definitely more than your other two kiddos’ names. Not that it is a bad thing - I think they can work quite well together, actually. [name_m]Beckett[/name_m], [name_u]Hadley[/name_u] and [name_m]Foster[/name_m]… it has a ring to it!
About [name_m]Foster[/name_m] by itself, though, it’s not quite my cup of tea, but I don’t dislike it. If you love it - don’t be afraid to go for it!
I really like [name_m]Foster[/name_m] and I think it sounds great with [name_u]Hadley[/name_u] and [name_m]Beckett[/name_m]. If you’re not sure about [name_m]Foster[/name_m] would you consider [name_m]Adler[/name_m]?
My first reaction is “If your bitten by a redback spider, you’re gonna die” and “[name_m]Foster[/name_m]'s: Australian for beer” from the [name_m]Foster[/name_m]'s beer commercials. I also think of foster children. So while I do agree it sounds good with your other children’s names, I’m put off by the other, distracting associations I have with that word.
What about Osten, which is a Norse name meaning “happy”, or [name_m]Auster[/name_m], the [name_m]Roman[/name_m] god of the South wind who brought late summer storms?
I am obsessed with [name_m]Foster[/name_m], but my husband hates it :(((( What did you end up going with?!
