[name_f]Ada[/name_f] is Ay-da.
The Hebrew name [name_f]Adah[/name_f] is add-ah/ah-dah.
I pronounce it more like [name_m]Ah[/name_m]-duh, with the first syllable rhyming with the word ‘odd’.
I say AY-duh, and I love [name_f]Ada[/name_f] with that pronunciation.
I’m kind blown away that there’s anyone not saying it as Ay-da… with all due respect I don’t think this name has multiple valid pronunciations.
I pronounce it as AY-duh, though I’ve met someone who pronounces it ODD-uh.
I thought it was [name_m]Ah[/name_m]-da. I’m by no means saying that what I thought is correct, but I have always thought it was [name_m]Ah[/name_m]-da and that it could be Ay-da or [name_m]Add[/name_m]-a never even crossed my mind.
Definitely Ay-duh! I’m the same in that other pronounciations never even crossed my mind. It’s just [name_f]Ava[/name_f] with a different letter for me.
