I’m wondering how [name_f]Aislinn[/name_f] is pronounced. I believe it is “[name_u]Ash[/name_u]-lin”, but I love the way it sounds when pronounced “Ase-lin”. There was a singer here in [name_f]Canada[/name_f] who had the name Aselin (named after Aslan in [name_f]Narnia[/name_f]) and I’ve always loved it, but prefer it to be spelled [name_f]Aislinn[/name_f]. Would it be disrespectful to pronounce it incorrectly?
I always thought it was pronounced “Aslan” like from [name_f]Narnia[/name_f], but recently I heard someone say the name and it was pronounced “Aiz-lin.” I’m sure both ways could work though!
[name_f]Aislinn[/name_f] is Irish and is pronounced “ash-lin”. Acelin (it’s normally this spelling) is an ancient [name_m]French[/name_m] name.
