levi is often LEE-vye and levy is (as a last name at least) lev-ee but i knew a levy who said his name LEE-vye

Always pronounced it lee-vye and never heard it any other way up until recently when I heard it pronounced levvy and that did not seem right to me

LEE VI (as in Pi)…Levvy and Leevay both sound really wrong to me.

When I first saw it I pronounced it as LEH-vee, but I was corrected to LEE-vye. I have heard it pronounced the first way a few times, but everyone I know pronounces it LEE-vye

LEE-vye. Although I really want to pronounce it LEH-vee because of the name Lev (pronounced lehv) :slight_smile:
