Lie-null (2 syllables) when speaking [name_f]English[/name_f]. I’m from the US.

However, I currently live in [name_f]France[/name_f] where it’s lee-oh-nell and I love it this way—I wonder if I’d be too weird to use this pronunciation as a native [name_f]English[/name_f] speaker.

This, essentially. I think I pronounce [name_u]Lionel[/name_u] as the latter slightly more than the former but I definitely use both.

LYE-un-ull. Very hard on the first syllable and very breathy and soft on the second two. I first heard it in the movie [name_u]Quest[/name_u] for Camelot so that’s how I’ve always pronounced it too. I haven’t heard it from anywhere else.

Also, I’m from Arkansas, of that helps any.
