[name_f]May[/name_f]-vuh or Mah-eva? Something else?
What do you think of the name? I like it over [name_f]Maeve[/name_f].
[name_f]May[/name_f]-vuh or Mah-eva? Something else?
What do you think of the name? I like it over [name_f]Maeve[/name_f].
I say [name_f]MAY[/name_f]-vuh automatically, though I quite like it said mah-EH-vuh too. If it were spelled Maéva, then I would use the MAH-ay-vuh pronunciation.
[name_f]MAY[/name_f]-vah / [name_f]MAY[/name_f]-vuh. I think it is really very pretty.
[name_f]May[/name_f]-vuh. I just assumed it was a derivation of [name_f]Maeve[/name_f]. I really like it. I do prefer [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] but have only really considered it as a middle name, [name_f]Maeva[/name_f] seems be more complete so works better as a first.
I say it as may-va x
I say [name_f]MAY[/name_f]-və. I personally prefer [name_f]Maeve[/name_f], although that’s probably to do with the fact I already have so many -a names on my list, I’d rather go for the different ending if given the choice. But it is a really beautiful name.
[name_f]May[/name_f]-Vuh …
[name_f]Maeva[/name_f] - Its lovely, I like it much more than [name_f]Maeve[/name_f].
With many of the Celtic pronunciations as well, they are neither black nor white- I love to hear a native speaker who has a ‘lilt’ in their voice and hear a slight 'wobble which is not straight [name_f]MAVE[/name_f] more Maev not -> eve though.
[name_f]Niamh[/name_f] is another example -
[name_f]Lovely[/name_f].
I would say [name_f]May[/name_f]-vuh
[name_f]MAY[/name_f]-va is on my list because it has the same awesome meaning as [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] while sounding more like a complete name and not a long syllable. I love it! The Mah-AY-va name is a Tahitian name that means “welcome”.
[name_f]May[/name_f]-vuh. It’s not really my style but I do think it sounds pretty.
It looks ugly to me
[name_f]May[/name_f]-vuh. It’s cute.
