[name_f]Do[/name_f] you say [name_f]Marry[/name_f]-us or Mahr-ius? I’ve heard that the marry-us pronunciation is correct but I was just wondering if anyone says it differently. I prefer Mahr-ius but wouldn’t use it if the pronunciation is wrong.
I would say it either mar-e-us, or muh-rye-us.

I live in Australia, and would be surprised to hear [name_f]Marry[/name_f]-us (or [name_f]Mare[/name_f]-ee-us) here, but I wouldn’t be surprised to learn it’s a common pronunciation in [name_u]North[/name_u] [name_u]America[/name_u].

I say marry-us, although I’m in the UK and that’s how it’s normally pronounced here. Most of the time when I hear people from the US say similar names the standard pronunciation seems to be mahr- instead though?
