How do you pronounce this name?

I’m thinking of using the name [name]Nerea[/name] for one of my main characters, and I want to make sure I’m pronouncing it right, so I can pick a new name or change the spelling before I get to far in. I’m pronouncing it ne-rhea. What do you think?

Neh-ree-ah was my first thought. Or Nee-ree-ah. Or Neh-rey-ah.

Wow I didn’t know two people could share a username, I feel like this is going to add to some confusion on the board.

According to my SO Basque is a mix between Spanish and Portuguese. (He speaks both - well Portuguese sort of).
So Ne-rey-ah was his best guess. (Though he’s not great when you ask him on how to spell something phonetically he just gives you the spelling. totally useless.)

Basque is very, very far removed from Spanish or Portuguese… totally not similar at all.
I think he’s thinking of Galician.
