I love the name [name_f]Annalise/name_f but have no idea how to spell it. Is my spelling correct? Or is it Annilise or [name_f]Analise[/name_f] or Anelyse? I think I prefer the first spelling, but I want to know the correct one. Thanks!
The original spelling is [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f].
I spell it [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f]. I just prefer the look, and the fact the letters L, A, N, and A (in reverse) don’t appear anywhere. It’s probably not tease worthy, but for some reason it really bugs me. I have seen [name_f]Annalise[/name_f], [name_f]Analise[/name_f], and [name_f]Annelise[/name_f] before, but I’m not sure if they’re correct or not.
[name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] is the only spelling I like, all the others look wrong!
I prefer the spelling [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f], but I know [name_f]Annalise[/name_f] is a common spelling too.
I’ve seen [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] and [name_f]Annelise[/name_f]. Those are my favourite spellings of the name, too.
[name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] is the only spelling I am familiar with and would assume it was spelt that way if I met an [name_f]Annaliese[/name_f] (I do know one).
In my family we spell it [name_f]Annelise[/name_f], and it’s the only spelling I like
[name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] (like [name_f]Anne[/name_f] [name_m]Frank[/name_m]) is the only way I’ve ever seen it spelled. It’s the classic Dutch spelling, I think.
[name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] is the only spelling I like.
I prefer [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f], it’s the ‘traditional’ spelling
My favourite spelling is [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f], it looks nicer to me.
I spell it [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f].
[name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] - the original spelling
[name_f]Anneliese[/name_f].
I’ve always spelled it [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f].
The classic Dutch spelling is Annelies, but that’s NOT the same as the [name_m]German[/name_m] [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f], which is pronounced with an extra syllable. For reasons I’ve mentioned in another thread I disagree with saying that ‘[name_f]Anneliese[/name_f]’ is the only correct spelling, since it’s a compound name with variations in many languages which are all equally correct to me.
So to me [name_f]Annalise[/name_f], [name_f]Annelise[/name_f], [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f]… it’s all correct.
I spell the Annehleez pronunciation like Annelies, which is rather obvious since I’m Dutch, but for the added syllable which I prefer myself, I’d probably go for [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f].
I like [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] or [name_f]Annelise[/name_f]. I pronounce them both the same, like a smoosh of [name_f]Ann[/name_f] and [name_f]Elise[/name_f], (even though I know in [name_m]German[/name_m] the former would have an extra syllable).
[name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] is my favorite as well, it is the original
I like [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] or [name_f]Annalise[/name_f]. I really dislike [name_f]Analise[/name_f] due to “anal” being in the name. It’s just a huge put off for me.
