[name_m]Hi[/name_m] everyone,
Many thanks to your useful tips. I have already sent a post regarding the name of [name_f]Gilda[/name_f].
I know it is an old fashioned name. I live in the UK but [name_f]English[/name_f] is my second language and I do not understand how old this name is.
In my language, some old names are just old, except the fact that they are rarely used for newborns today, looked completely fine. But, some other old names are too old, have an odd image and look ridiculous or embarrassing today! As a result, a baby with those names will be definitely teased or bullied at school in future.
I just want to know how old fashioned [name_f]Gilda[/name_f] is. Is it just a name that is not being heard nowadays or it is too old with a negative feeling like what I mentioned above?
Your tips and comments are very appreciated.
Regards
I donāt think [name_f]Gilda[/name_f] is too old! Iām from the US and not the UK, so there could be a cultural difference, but as a native [name_f]English[/name_f] speaker [name_f]Gilda[/name_f] doesnāt seem overly clunky in an out-of-style way, nor is it one of the stereotypical āold embarrassing namesā that are sometimes used as jokes.
I think [name_f]Gilda[/name_f] is pretty and shiny with a vintage feeling! I canāt imagine it would causing any bullying.
I think itās āpretty vintageā rather than dated! Itās really nice ![]()

Honestly, I think [name_f]Gilda[/name_f] is still a Grandma name to the general public, but I find it very cute! Itās my great-auntās name and she wears it well.
It is old fashioned, but I donāt think thatās a bad thing
