I had no idea [name_f]Vera[/name_f] could be pronounced “VAIR-ah”. Here in the UK, it’s always “[name_m]VEER[/name_m]-ah”.
I say stick with the traditional spelling and be prepared to correct pronunciation. Otherwise, [name_f]Veera[/name_f] is probably your best bet, although you might then get “VEE-rah”.
[name_f]Vera[/name_f] is not only the traditional spelling but I think it looks best and it you best bet to getting V -eer-ra.
I like [name_f]Veira[/name_f] but think it would be pronounced V-ay-ra or V-i-ra
Go with your heart, you may just need to be prepared to correct people.
I have always pronounced [name_f]Vera[/name_f] as “veer-ah”. Many common names can have two or more pronounciations. I think you should go with [name_f]Vera[/name_f]
I would go with [name_f]Vira[/name_f].
It’s only ever [name_f]Vera[/name_f] here in the UK, but nothing wrong with mixing it up a bit if you choose 
I’m American(from NY, because that sometimes makes a difference) and I’d say [name_f]Vera[/name_f] as Vair-ah.
To me, the only one that gets you your preferred pronunciation is [name_f]Veera[/name_f].
However, I like the suggestion of [name_f]Vira[/name_f]- looks a little more streamlined and easier to spell. All you’d have to say is [name_f]Mira[/name_f] with a V!
I’m from NY as well and have only ever heard/said [name_f]Vera[/name_f] as [name_m]Veer[/name_m]-a. There’s also a Beatles song where they reference the name [name_f]Vera[/name_f] (When I’m 64) and very clearly say [name_m]Veer[/name_m]-a.
So I’d just go with [name_f]Vera[/name_f].
My grandmother had a cousin [name_f]Vera[/name_f] & everyone in the family always pronounced it [name_m]Veer[/name_m]-ah…I didn’t even know that there were other pronunciations used.
[name_f]Vera[/name_f] is always pronounced “veer-a” here (Australia), but maybe it is a country thing. I had no idea there was an alternate pronunciation.
I would only ever spell it as [name_f]Vera[/name_f]. The other spelling look strange and a little silly to me.

My grandmother is a [name_f]Vera[/name_f] with the veer-a pronunciation and the few other Veras I know are also veer-a. [name_f]Vera[/name_f] Farmiga is veer-a, I believe, as well.
[name_f]Vera[/name_f], it’s classic, looks best and people will get with it
I know two Veras and are they both pronounced [name_m]Veer[/name_m]-ah so I would stick with that pronounciation. I think any other spelling would cause confusion.
[name_f]Vera[/name_f] has always been [name_m]Veer[/name_m]-uh to my knowledge. Like the actress [name_f]Vera[/name_f] Farmiga or the [name_f]Pink[/name_f] [name_m]Floyd[/name_m] song. lol.
We named our daughter [name_f]Vera[/name_f], and [name_m]Veer[/name_m]-ah is how we pronounce it. We occasionally have some people say it a little strangely in their accent, but it doesn’t bother us. Mostly people get it right without trying, and it’s easy to spell. Also, obviously we love the name and think it’s a great choice! I feel it hits the sweet spot between familiar and still uncommon.

I’ve always read [name_f]Vera[/name_f] as ([name_m]VEER[/name_m]- ah). If someone mispronounced it, it’d take a quick one time correction and that’s it. That’s not a dealbreaker for me for a name I love.
[name_f]Viera[/name_f], [name_f]Florida[/name_f] is pronounced vee-[name_f]AIR[/name_f]-ra.
I think it would make a beautiful girls name, but [name_f]Vera[/name_f] is veer-ra in English or American. You need to choose what works for your language and location.
[name_m]Just[/name_m] make sure the person hears the name before they see it in writing. This is true for ANY name.
