I was just wondering what the best way to honor a [name_f]Jennifer[/name_f] is. It’s a pretty name, but incredibly overused. So far these came to mind:
[name_f]Guinevere[/name_f]
[name_f]Gemma[/name_f]
[name_f]Jenna[/name_f]
[name_u]Juniper[/name_u]
[name_f]Juno[/name_f] (kind of a stretch)
Which of these is best? Are there any I missed (except obvious ones like [name_f]Jenna[/name_f], [name_f]Jen[/name_f], and [name_f]Jennie[/name_f])
[name_u]Juniper[/name_u] is probably my favorite from your list
You could honor her by using a name with the same meaning as [name_f]Jennifer[/name_f], names related to her birthstone, her favorite color or place. You could honor her with using a name related to the town or city she lived in, favorite flowers or trees. You could honor her through a name related to her career, a nickname or pet name. Names related to things meaningful to her. The list can go on and on.
All my combos are very meaningful and honor loved ones. For example, [name_f]Grace[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] [name_f]Birdie[/name_f]. My late grandma was such a graceful woman and one of the kindest people I have ever known. [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] is her and my mother-in-law’s middle name. [name_f]Birdie[/name_f] is the pet name my dad called my late mom. Mostly the combo is to honor my late grandma and late mom (extra bonus honoring my mother-in-law). I know they are together again watching over us from the stars. So I wanted to honor them together in a combo.
You left off [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f]!
I love the suggestion of using her birthstone-[name_f]Opal[/name_f] as a name! I feel like it hits all the right notes! As for a nickname, she nicknamed me Moony and I nicknamed her [name_u]Sunny[/name_u]-I was always negative while she was ever the optimist. I don’t really like [name_u]Sunny[/name_u] as a name- perhaps [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] and [name_f]Helen[/name_f] or a variation of either? I really like [name_f]Opal[/name_f] [name_f]Elena[/name_f]! As for her favorite color-[name_u]Blue[/name_u]- I’m not sure I like it except maybe in the middle. Her birth city-[name_m]Detroit[/name_m]-isn’t exactly usable. In case anyone wants to know, last name is [name_u]Campbell[/name_u] and siblings are [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] [name_f]Carolina[/name_f] and [name_u]Rory[/name_u] [name_u]Hudson[/name_u].
I would use [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f], but my cousin recently announced that if she has a girl that will be her name.
You could use [name_f]Azure[/name_f] instead of blue. [name_f]Opal[/name_f] [name_f]Azure[/name_f]? [name_f]Opal[/name_f] [name_f]Elena[/name_f] [name_f]Azure[/name_f]? [name_f]Helen[/name_f] [name_f]Azure[/name_f]? [name_f]Lucille[/name_f] [name_f]Azure[/name_f]? [name_f]Opal[/name_f] [name_u]Vesper[/name_u]? [name_u]Vesper[/name_u] means “evening star” could be used instead of Moony. [name_f]Opal[/name_f] [name_f]Sunniva[/name_f]?
I did not think about [name_f]Azure[/name_f] until you mentioned it- I think out of all the names you suggested I like [name_f]Lucille[/name_f] [name_f]Azure[/name_f] the best- though it mqy be because I’ve had a soft spot for the nn [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] ever since watching [name_f]Fairy[/name_f] Tail. Is [name_f]Lucille[/name_f] [name_u]Campbell[/name_u] too many L’s?
I agree with @boyandgirl, [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] has many of the same sounds as [name_f]Jennifer[/name_f]. It is a timeless name and has tons of nicknames if you like nicknames: [name_f]Ginny[/name_f], [name_f]Genie[/name_f], [name_f]Gigi[/name_f], [name_f]Neve[/name_f], [name_f]Eve[/name_f], [name_f]Evie[/name_f], [name_f]Vivi[/name_f].
I think [name_f]Lucille[/name_f] [name_f]Azure[/name_f] [name_u]Campbell[/name_u] is lovely. I do not think [name_f]Lucille[/name_f] [name_u]Campbell[/name_u] has too many Ls, I actually like the balance. I think [name_f]Lucille[/name_f] [name_f]Azure[/name_f] goes well with [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] [name_f]Carolina[/name_f] and [name_u]Rory[/name_u] [name_u]Hudson[/name_u], especially [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] and [name_f]Lucille[/name_f].
[name_u]Jensen[/name_u] could work but it’s mostly a boys name however in the middle it could work. From the nickname [name_u]Sunny[/name_u] you could use a name with a meaning related to sunshine such as: [name_f]Idalia[/name_f] which means I see the sun in Greek, [name_f]Kalinda[/name_f] which means sun, [name_f]Soleil[/name_f] which is sun in [name_m]French[/name_m], [name_f]Marisol[/name_f] which means sun and the sea, [name_f]Sunniva[/name_f] which means sun gift or even [name_f]Sunshine[/name_f] as a middle name. [name_f]Sunniva[/name_f] is my personal favourite of these and sounds the best with your childrens names.
From your list I like [name_f]Gemma[/name_f], [name_f]Jenna[/name_f], and [name_u]Juniper[/name_u].
What about:
[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f]
[name_f]Jenica[/name_f]
[name_f]Jenessa[/name_f]
[name_f]Jeanette[/name_f]
