How to honor her father?

Id love to honor my DH while naming our future daughter
his name’s [name]Jeffrey[/name] and the only way to honor him that ive heard of is [name]Freya[/name] which im not a fan of
any suggestions of how to honor my DH? thx berries

[name]Effie[/name]
[name]Efa[/name]
[name]Josephine[/name]
[name]Raina[/name]
[name]Rea[/name]

I can’t think of any others sorry, but I hope this helps.

I like [name]Effie[/name]. Not a fan of [name]Freya[/name] in any way shape or form unless you live in a Scandinavian country where it would actually fit culturally.

[name]Jeffrey[/name] means “Pledge of peace”. You could find a girl’s name that also means peace and honor him that way. For example:
[name]Irene[/name]
[name]Dove[/name]
[name]Mira[/name] (see behindthename.com for the Scandinavian name)
[name]Salome[/name]
[name]Shanti[/name]
[name]Winnie[/name] / [name]Winnifred[/name]
[name]Serenity[/name]
[name]Pax[/name]

[name]Jennifer[/name]
[name]Jenifry[/name]
[name]Genoveffa[/name]

Maybe [name]Effie[/name]? [name]Effie[/name] could be a nickname for [name]Elizabeth[/name], [name]Josephine[/name], [name]Euphemia[/name], [name]Persephone[/name], [name]Seraphina[/name], [name]Ophelia[/name], [name]Delphine[/name], [name]Stephanie[/name], [name]Zephyrine[/name], etc. Something like [name]Eleanor[/name] [name]Frances[/name] could be [name]Effie[/name] too (with EF initial OR just a name that starts with F could work).

Here are names that mean [name]Peace[/name], [name]Jeffery[/name]'s meaning id ‘Pledge of peace’

You could also give her the same initials as her father or have her middle name and [name]Jeffery[/name]

These might be a stretch:

Raffaella
[name]Saffron[/name]
[name]Afra[/name] /[name]Aphra[/name]
Eufrasia
Euphrosyne
[name]Freda[/name]
[name]Jaffa[/name] (a town in Palestine)

What’s your husband’s middle name? Maybe that has an easier feminine option.

To add information wikipedia.fr says it means “who brings peace through the power of God.” or through divine strength. So you might look for something with those meanings. Wikipedia.com says it means "“peaceful place,” or “peaceful traveler”

[name]Beatrice[/name] means traveler or voyager so if that meaning is accurate then that would be a good choice imo with another name that means peace. If you’re interested in this name I could come up with some [name]Beatrice[/name] combos for you

Lots of good options in these comments, but I feel like [name]Jeffrey[/name] isn’t an easy one to feminize in any obvious way. I don’t know if any of these would make someone think "oh, she’s named after her father’ if that matters to you. So maybe shared initials could work & really give you more options. Or you could look to something related to him in some other way…like a favorite hobby, book, subject, ect.

Aside from that I suggest something like:
[name]Jessamine[/name] [name]Euphemia[/name] - nn [name]Jeffy[/name]
[name]Jessica[/name] [name]Frances[/name]- nn [name]Jeffy[/name]
[name]Jemma[/name] [name]Frances[/name]- nn [name]Jeffy[/name]
Ect.

That way her name is feminine & all her own, but the nickname is a total honor to her father & very unique as well!

Like people are saying, [name]Jeffrey[/name]/[name]Geoffrey[/name] contains the [name]German[/name] element meaning “peace” - which would be a cool idea:

[name]Frida[/name]
[name]Frederica[/name] / [name]Frederique[/name] “[name]Freddie[/name]/Friddy/[name]Fritzie[/name]”
[name]Winifred[/name] “[name]Winn[/name]/[name]Winnie[/name]”
[name]Irene[/name]
[name]Irina[/name]
[name]Mira[/name]
[name]Pax[/name]
Salomé

for something more direct (love the suggestion of the nickname “[name]Jeffy[/name]”)
Jofra
Jefferine
Genovefa or [name]Genoveffa[/name]
[name]Josepha[/name]
Seffora

I love taz’s suggestions. You could also just use his initials. A J- first name and then the same letter mn. as his.

his middle names are [name]Andrew[/name] [name]Joseph[/name]

Then I would use either [name]Josephine[/name]/[name]Josephina[/name], [name]Andrea[/name] or [name]Drew[/name].
