[name_m]How[/name_m] would you pronounce [name_u]Isa[/name_u]? I really like the name and pronounce it like Ice-uh, but I don’t think that’s how it’s supposed to be pronounced. I tried to google the pronunciation and found several including eye-zuh and is-uh (as in [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f]).
I encountered this name in a [name_m]Brent[/name_m] Weeks book not long ago. When I was reading along, I said is like is-ah (like [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f]) and never bothered to stop and think if that was right. So that was my first instinct.
But, reading the title of this thread, I read it ice-ah. I like Ice-ah
I think [name_u]Isa[/name_u] is a cute nickname for [name_f]Isabella[/name_f], so I say it like ee-sa
My name is [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] and I go by [name_u]Isa[/name_u] as a nn. We pronounce it Ee-sah but I live in [name_f]Austria[/name_f] so the English pronunciation might be different.
I pronounce it EE-sah.
My instinct is to pronounce it Ice-uh.
EE-sah, I know two girls with that name, both pronounce it the same way.
I know a [name_u]Isa[/name_u] its sort for [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] so she says it Izz-a but on [name_f]Dora[/name_f] [name_u]Isa[/name_u] the Iguana says it Iee-sa
[name_u]Isa[/name_u] is quite popular in the Netherlands, where it is pronounced EE-sah.
[name_f]Dora[/name_f] the [name_u]Explorer[/name_u]! [name_u]Isa[/name_u] (ee-sah) is an iguana who loves flowers and gardening.
Fun name!
EE-sah, like in [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] or [name_f]Isadora[/name_f].
My friend is and [name_u]Isa[/name_u] and she says ee-sah
