I don’t like the spelling Alaya or Alayah. I don’t really like y spellings. Is Aleia usable with the same pronunciation? I like Alaia but I know that’s commonly pronounced uh-lie-uh so I think it would need to be corrected a lot.
I assume people would read Aleia as uh-lay-uh, since most people pronounce Leia correctly.
I know an [name_f]Alaiyah[/name_f] pronounced Uh-lay-uh, and people usually get it right!!
Also, I’ve only ever heard [name_f]Alaia[/name_f] pronounced the way you want (Uh-lay-uh), so I don’t think you have to worry!! That’s personally my favorite spelling, and is the spelling I would intuitively guess if I heard the name, so you really can’t go wrong!!)
If I saw [name_f]Aleia[/name_f], I would instinctively say Uh-LEE-uh

I love [name_f]Alayah[/name_f]. I have seen someone spell it [name_f]Aleia[/name_f] , [name_m]Ah[/name_m] lay ah. Like princess [name_f]Leia[/name_f].
[name_u]Ive[/name_u] also seen people spell it [name_f]Aalayah[/name_f]. I prefer the spellimg [name_f]Alaia[/name_f] but understand your problem

I think if you don’t like the y spellings, [name_f]Aleia[/name_f] would be best.
Maybe you could do [name_f]Aleah[/name_f], like [name_f]Leah[/name_f] in the Bible.

I think either [name_f]Alaia[/name_f] or [name_f]Aleia[/name_f] would work with the pronunciation you want! I actually think [name_f]Alaia[/name_f] is more intuitive!

aleia is actually the only one of these that i would pronounce as uh-lay-uh, which i presume you want. the others are all uh-lye-uh to me, especially alaia !! aleia is definitely the spelling i would go for with this pronunciation <3

I think a lot of people would be familiar with [name_f]Alaia[/name_f] as the designer brand pronounced ah-LYE-ah.
[name_f]Aleia[/name_f] looks the most like uh-lay-ah to me. [name_m]Even[/name_m] moreso than [name_f]Alaya[/name_f]. I think that one could be mispronounced with a long I too.

The handful of Alaias I’ve come across all pronounce it the way you’d like. I prefer that one overall.
