How to spell “bevvy” short for beverly

[name_f]My[/name_f] name is [name_u]Beverly[/name_u] [name_f]Lace[/name_f] and I’ve gone by [name_f]Lacey[/name_f] since I was a baby but I think [name_f]Bev[/name_f] and [name_f]Bevvy[/name_f] are so cute  (it’s what my closest friends ended up calling me) I want to start going by that but I don’t know how to spell it in a way that feels like I want it to feel.

[name_f]Bevvy[/name_f] to me looks like beverage and not a cute feminine name

Bevie is how I pictured it (I think my friends naturally spelled it this way) but “evie” is the “ee” sound so idk

Bevy is fine, but the “y” is not sittin right w me

Bevvie is the one I think (?) makes the most sense and looks like a young girls name but when I typed it out the double v looked redundant and maybe pretentious with the “ie”. Like it’s trying to hard to be unique

Bevi looks like it rhymes with [name_u]Levi[/name_u]

I just know once I put this name into the world it will hopefully stick… so I want it to look right, be easy to pronounce, and make sense for me.

Bevie feels so floral and like prairie cottage in the woods to me. Which is what I am like but all of the spellings make no sense to me: y makes more sense in [name_f]English[/name_f] phonetically I suppose but it makes the name look masculine and less youthful to me… idk…please help.

Go with Bevie! It sounds like the winner because it’s naturally what you pictured and gives you great imagery. [name_u]Beverly[/name_u] nn Bevie is such a great name btw!

It seems like your heart is really set on Bevie!! I think it’s so cute. You have a lovely name and the spelling will catch on with people!

I like Bevie!

Since your name is [name_u]Beverly[/name_u], I think it’s intuitive to pronounce the nickname the same way as your name - no matter how it’s spelled - so I wouldn’t get too caught up on the “Evie” part of Bevie. I would naturally pronounce it as BEH-Vee and not like Bee-vee! Go with the Bevie spelling, that’s what your heart is telling you, and I think it’s absolutely perfect!
