How to spell maxim?

we finally decided on the name maxim. But i do NOT want to spell it like the magazine which is maxim. What is the best way to spell this name-- maxem, maxum, maxsim?

I would personally spell in [name]Maxim[/name], as that’s how it’s spelt in DH family. But I can see why you would shy away from that with the magazine, though, no boy will ever complain about being named the same as a magazine like that. [name]Maksim[/name]?

I know a [name]Maksim[/name] who goes by [name]Maks[/name]. This would be the only other way I would spell it.

[name]Maxim[/name] is the correct way to spell the name in English. Foreign variations include [name]Maksim[/name] (Russian), [name]Maximo[/name], and [name]Massimo[/name]. I wouldn’t worry about the magazine. If you’re going to choose an elegant, unusual name, you should retain the correct spelling. Otherwise, it will just look ignorant.

[name]Maksim[/name] Chmerkovskiy from Dancing with the Stars spells his name [name]Maksim[/name]. That’s the spelling I’m most used to, so if I were to use the name, that’s the one I would go with. It’s a recognized international variant of the name, and it’s perfectly appropriate.

I think Maxem and Maxum are both fine. They would still be easy to pronounce. I agree that I wouldn’t want the name to be the same as the magazine.

I agree with this. Please look at legitimate foreign spellings before you butcher a perfectly nice name.

I think you are right, I didnt think about it like that. Thank you!!
