How to spell W

Berries,

Thank you all for your helpful opinions about the name [name_f]Winifred[/name_f]! It seems like it might be “the one”. So now my husband and I are trying to decide what spelling to use. Which version do you ladies prefer?

[name_f]Winifred[/name_f]
or
[name_f]Winnifred[/name_f]

Thanks!

[name_f]Winnifred[/name_f] is what I think of first when I hear the name.

[name_f]Winifred[/name_f] for me .

I like one N - [name_f]Winifred[/name_f]. Great name! It’s on my list.

[name_f]Winifred[/name_f] for sure with one N.

[name_f]Winifred[/name_f]. It’s more intuitive. I feel like the second “n” is unnecessary and makes the name more complicated than it needs to be.

[name_f]Winifred[/name_f] with one N. The second one is completely unnecessary.

[name_f]Winifred[/name_f]- like @ikfly said, the second n isn’t necessary at all.

[name_f]Winifred[/name_f] - its the only way ive seen it, i view it as the “traditional way”

think you wont have to be correcting people all the time and telling them [name_f]Winifred[/name_f] with two n’s

the nickname [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] is just that - a nickname. at least to me the majority of them double letters - [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] isnt spelled with 2 n’s because [name_f]Winifred[/name_f] is
