I came across the name [name]Niah[/name] and really liked it although when I read it I assumed it was pronounced Ni(eye)ah
[name]Every[/name] website seems to have it prounounced as Ni(nee)ah. [name]Even[/name] spelling it [name]Nyah[/name], [name]Nyah[/name] it’s still pronounced with an ee sound instead of the i sound I like.
[name]How[/name] would you spell this name so that it’s pronounced Ni(eye)ah. What do you think of it? or should I stick to one of my choices below?
[name]Naia[/name] could work (since [name]Gaia[/name] is pronounced with the sound you’re looking for). I think any made up spelling will have pronunciation issues, though. If it’s the sound you like, why not go with [name]Maya[/name] instead?
I quite like [name]Audrey[/name] [name]Evelina[/name] and [name]Niah[/name] [name]Evangeline[/name] from your current list.
Well, looks like there’s a legit Basque name Nahia, meaning “desire.” I think you pronounce it “[name]Naya[/name]” like the name you’re after. But I could be wrong.
I like the [name]Naya[/name] spelling, like [name]Naya[/name] Rivera as mentioned. I think the named [name]Naya[/name] is gorgeous and I’m sure people would ‘get’ it, to rhyme with [name]Maya[/name].
Also, I think Nahia or some variation of it works better with a name that’s less Western/[name]Christian[/name]. [name]Naya[/name] [name]Evangeline[/name] sounds strange to me. [name]How[/name] about…
Nahia [name]Lily[/name]
[name]Love[/name] [name]Harriet[/name], but spelled with an E. Prefer [name]Harriet[/name] [name]Ivy[/name] to the reverse. So that would be my other choice for you.
Probably [name]Niya[/name], Niyah, [name]Naya[/name] or [name]Naia[/name]. Niyah would have to be my favorite spelling.
I think it is a pretty name, and the pronounciation Nee-uh is trendy (with [name]Mia[/name], [name]Lia[/name], [name]Sophia[/name] and [name]Amelia[/name]), so I do prefer [name]Nye[/name]-uh.
I’ve always seen it spelled [name]Naya[/name], like the actress [name]Naya[/name] Rivera? I think [name]Naya[/name] [name]Evangeline[/name] would be very pretty. I also like [name]Audrey[/name] [name]Evelina[/name] from your list, and [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Harriet[/name].
I think the [name]Nyah[/name] spelling makes it look like its pronounced with the N-eye-ah sound.
I think [name]Nyah[/name] [name]Evangelina[/name] sounds lovely. I also like [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Harriot[/name], but I would spell it like [name]Harriet[/name].
My favorite from all of your names is [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Harriet[/name].
Best of luck to you!!
I would spell it [name]Naya[/name] or [name]Naia[/name]. I like [name]Haven[/name] [name]Lily[/name] and [name]Naya[/name]/[name]Naia[/name] [name]Evangeline[/name].
I love your names…there is a Canadian bottled water company [name]Naya[/name] and I always pronounced it N(eye)ah. So I think [name]Naya[/name] would work. The thing w/ a name like this, no matter what you choose, you’ll probably have people mispronounce it but that’s ok! My daughter’s name is mispronounced a lot at first but you usually only have to tell people once and they get it. Spell it how you like it! My fav of your choices is actually [name]Haven[/name] [name]Lily[/name]…it’s so different, I love it!!
