I love when people give descriptions or help envision a name with words or visuals (such as mood boards). Could anyone give me an idea of how they “envision” this name?:

[name_f]Cecily[/name_f] to me is light, fragrant and floral - I see shades of pale pink, white, light blue, evening sky orange. I’m thinking [name_f]Laura[/name_f] [name_u]Ashley[/name_u] prints, blue ribbons, straw hats, piano keys, fancy perfume bottles and nail varnish
Thank you both so much for those lovely visuals!!! @angelastella5 @Greyblue
[name_f]Cecily[/name_f] is a bright, sunny, and exciting name to me. I imagine a [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] would be a beautiful child—inside, outside, all of it. The color orange comes to mind! Flowers and finches, globes and gingerbread. A very explorative and creative little name. She’s vintage but with a sharpness and flair to her that makes her stand out.
Partway princess, partway earthy. A little spirit.
i love cecily!!
Oh these are absolutely stunning @snowmaiden Thank you so so much!!!
Such beautiful visuals @clair.de.lune thank you thank you!!! <3
[name_f]My[/name_f] first association is the main character of this novel based in the WW2. The girl is a [name_f]British[/name_f] girl with golden locks. She is sunny and carefree and very bubbly. In WW2 she and his brother go to live in the countryside from [name_u]London[/name_u] and there she finds an old castle with ghosts and other old tales. Reminds me of something Victorian otherwise or something reminding me of white and purple.
I thought of this color scheme!
I visualise [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] in the same ways as above - florals, sepias, and reading books in the late afternoon sun. [name_f]My[/name_f] aunt is called [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] - and she’s beyond clever, forthright, and has golden hair, rosy cheeks and a beautiful smile.
Thank you @heartwings for this visual/association!! So lovely!!
@highhippogriff I love these colors!!! thank you!!! <3
@EloiseT thank you so much for your comment! I love that you have a personal connection with one that you could share. So beautiful
I think of my cousin, [name_f]Amber[/name_f], who looks like a [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] to me. The irony is that I suggested her name to my aunt and uncle who chose it!
[name_f]Cecily[/name_f] - brunette, statuesque, common sensical, intelligent, calm, pretty, competent.
@Harvest-Endellion thank you so much for you comment! I love how you’d describe this name!!
@EdgeOfTheMeadow This is absolutely STUNNING!!! Wow!! Thank you so much
Still very obsessed with this thread and your comments!! Bumping to see if there’s any more descriptive answers people have
