The title says it all. These are the names that we’ve come up with but are unsure on how to pair them.
I do apologize the list is long but we won’t be finding out genders until birth and we want to make sure that we have options in case the name doesn’t fit.
I like:
[name_m]Ezra[/name_m] and [name_m]Jonah[/name_m]
[name_m]Tobias[/name_m] and [name_m]Malachi[/name_m] ** (really like this pairing)
[name_m]Ethan[/name_m] and [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] (but this pairing doesn’t seem to go with your other children’s names listed in your signature)
I think no matter how you pair them, they will sound great! Bible names(not sure if that was where you got them, but that’s where they are found!) always go good together.
[name_m]Ezra[/name_m] and [name_m]Silas[/name_m]
[name_m]Caleb[/name_m] and [name_m]Jonah[/name_m]
[name_m]Tobias[/name_m] and [name_m]Malachi[/name_m]
[name_m]Peter[/name_m] and [name_m]Timothy[/name_m]
Sorry I dropped a couple, but no child should be tagged w/a name that could result in the nn [name_u]Toby[/name_u], I’ve just detested it since I first heard it as a young child. [name_m]Major[/name_m] ick factor.
These are my favourite pairings. I could live without [name_m]Kenan[/name_m] or [name_m]Kilian[/name_m] though. Are those [name_u]Keenan[/name_u] and [name_m]Killian[/name_m] / [name_m]Cian[/name_m]án and [name_m]Cillian[/name_m]? I find your spellings confusing, no offense.
I love all six of the first names without reservation.
[name_m]Daniel[/name_m] [name_m]Balin[/name_m] and [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] [name_m]Rupert[/name_m] Though [name_f]LOVE[/name_f] [name_m]Rupert[/name_m] for a first name!!
Personally, I would avoid the same first initial so if you use [name_m]Caleb[/name_m] that rules out [name_m]Cyrus[/name_m] and if you use [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] that rules out [name_m]Timothy[/name_m]. I would also pair names of the same style - you have traditional [name_m]Christian[/name_m] names ([name_m]Daniel[/name_m],[name_m]Timothy[/name_m], [name_m]Peter[/name_m], [name_m]Thomas[/name_m]), Old Testament names ([name_m]Caleb[/name_m], [name_m]Ezra[/name_m],[name_m]Moses[/name_m], Etc). I would also want around the same level of popularity so I would avoid pairing super popular [name_u]Noah[/name_u] with very uncommon [name_m]Cyrus[/name_m].
In order of preference, I like:
[name_m]Jonah[/name_m] [name_m]Henry[/name_m] and [name_m]Silas[/name_m] [name_m]Quentin[/name_m]
[name_m]Elijah[/name_m] [name_m]Christian[/name_m] and [name_m]Malachi[/name_m] [name_m]Kenan[/name_m]
[name_m]Daniel[/name_m] [name_m]Balin[/name_m] and [name_m]Timothy[/name_m] [name_m]Robert[/name_m]
It seems to me you have 3 groups: classic, modern classic, and unusual Biblical (I know they’re all Biblical, but some are far less common and far more associated with the Bible). There’s a bit of overlap but not too much ([name_m]Elijah[/name_m] and [name_u]Micah[/name_u] would work, but [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] and [name_m]Malachi[/name_m] would be tougher)
I would personally choose from within those groups.
So [name_m]Peter[/name_m] and [name_m]Jonathan[/name_m], [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] and [name_m]Thomas[/name_m], [name_m]Caleb[/name_m] and [name_m]Timothy[/name_m].
[name_u]Noah[/name_u] and [name_m]Elijah[/name_m], [name_m]Ethan[/name_m] and [name_m]Lucas[/name_m]
[name_u]Micah[/name_u] and [name_m]Tobias[/name_m], [name_m]Silas[/name_m] and [name_m]Ezra[/name_m], [name_m]Cyrus[/name_m] and [name_m]Moses[/name_m]
[name_m]Jonathon[/name_m] [name_m]Harvey[/name_m]
[name_m]Thomas[/name_m] [name_m]Rupert[/name_m]
[name_m]Timothy[/name_m] [name_m]Robert[/name_m]
[name_m]Daniel[/name_m] [name_m]Balin[/name_m]
[name_m]Peter[/name_m] [name_m]Nicholas[/name_m]
[name_m]Caleb[/name_m] [name_m]Augustine[/name_m] - love this one!
[name_m]Ethan[/name_m] [name_m]Cyrus[/name_m] - love this one!
[name_m]Lucas[/name_m] [name_m]Jeremiah[/name_m]
[name_m]Jonah[/name_m] [name_m]Henry[/name_m]
[name_u]Noah[/name_u] [name_u]Lawrence[/name_u]
[name_m]Elijah[/name_m] [name_m]Christian[/name_m]
I’m sorry it took so long to respond, my computer has been acting funny.
I do agree Kala_way we do have a split in the kinds of biblical names we’ve chosen. I think it would be nice to combine one common or modern common name with an unusual biblical name because although [name_m]Zachariah[/name_m] is on the charts it’s not as well known as [name_m]Isaiah[/name_m] and of course [name_m]Isaiah[/name_m] is super popular.
I’m also going to talk to DH tomorrow and look at getting rid of the more uncommon names that don’t have a NN that can make it more common. I.E. [name_m]Zachariah[/name_m] can be shortened to [name_m]Zach[/name_m] and blend in with the [name_m]Zachary[/name_m]'s if he so chooses.
