How would you pronounce Eira?

We love the name [name_f]Eira[/name_f] but don’t want her to have to correct people on how to pronounce her name her whole life… so thought a straw poll would help us decide how intuitive it is.

I would pronounce it “[name_u]Ira[/name_u]”.

[name_f]Hope[/name_f] that’s correct!

I vastly prefer AY-ruh, but both AY-ruh and EYE-ruh are valid pronunciations as far as I know. I love [name_f]Eira[/name_f], but only as AY-ruh.

I honestly go back and forth because I think I-ra is most correct(?), but prior to learning that I intuitively said it closer to AY-ra. Beautiful name though!

My first instinct is like [name_f]AIR[/name_f]-ah, but I’ve heard EYE-rah, too. I vastly prefer the first, although I’m not entirely sure which is correct.
