I pronounce this name “EE-sah” but is it “eye-sah?”
I would say EE-sa
i-saw
Instinctively I would say “Ice-ah”
I like to think I would ask [name]Isa[/name] rather than stab at it.
Ee-za
I’ve heard it pronounce Is-a or Eye-za, bothn times it was short for [name]Isabelle[/name], but pronounced by the persons themselves.
I knew a girl named [name]Isa[/name] in high school, and she pronounced it Ee-sah.
I would pronounce it ice-ah on sight, like the bank account …
Like ee-sah from [name]Dora[/name] the [name]Explorer[/name]. ; )
There is a Mt. [name]Isa[/name] in Australia and as far as I know (I used to live there) it’s pronounced EYE-zah. Rhymes with [name]Isla[/name] if that helps.
- [name]Charlie[/name]
Instinctively I say EE-sa because that’s how I would pronounce it in Norwegian, but I can’t agree with myself which version I’d use in the long run, or if which version I’d use if I were naming my daughter [name]Isa[/name]… I just don’t have a preference when it comes to [name]Isa[/name]!
Actually on second thought I would use EE-sa… EYE-sa is too close to [name]Isla[/name] and [name]Eliza[/name], EE-sa is more unique ^^
I know an [name]Isa[/name] who pronounces her name as “eye-suh.”
Good luck!
At first I read is eye-sa but then after thinking about I would have presumed ee-sa, as in spanish nn for an ‘ee-sa-bel’ (if such a nickname exists).
I first thought of it as EE-sah, as a nickname for [name]Isabel[/name] pronounced with a Spanish accent (I [name]LOVE[/name] the movie Fools [name]Rush[/name] In).
I love the movie Fools [name]Rush[/name] In, too!
I have to admit we watch WAYYY too many cartoons and I did actually get the name from [name]Dora[/name]. Isn’t that terrible? It’s my daughter’s favorite. But I really like the name and I think we may use it. I just know that [name]Isa[/name] would be in a lifetime of constantly correcting people saying her name and I don’t know how to feel about that…
A girl in high school had the nn [name]Isa[/name] (said EE-sa) and her name was [name]Louisa[/name]
Eye- suh.
I’d say Ee-sah
I would pronounce it EE-sah, but I’ve never met one.
