So my friend asked me my thoughts on the name Leom, and my first question was how you pronounce it. Is it pronounced like the name [name_u]Liam[/name_u] or like the name [name_m]Deon[/name_m]? What are your thoughts on the name Leom?
Like [name_m]Leon[/name_m] and [name_m]Dion[/name_m], so LEE-ohm.
I’d say it as leh-ohm. At first glance I thought it was a misspelling of [name_m]Leon[/name_m] tbh, but it can grow on me.
Like Leon with an M. I did also misread it as Leon at first.
instinctively, i want to say leh-ohm!
[name_f]My[/name_f] first thought was lee-OHM or leh-OHM with the emphasis on the second syllable.
Otherwise I would say lee-awm, which is different than [name_u]Liam[/name_u] (lee-uhm) in my accent.
I’d say Lee-ohm, like [name_m]Leon[/name_m].
I would say it lee-ohm (the second syllable like you’re meditating) and then I groaned internally as I really hoped it wasn’t supposed to be a weird spelling of [name_u]Liam[/name_u].
lee-AHM
I’d say leh ahm at first glance !!!
Lee-om, like [name_m]Leon[/name_m] with an m
Thanks so much everybody! It turns out that it was an “alternative spelling” to [name_u]Liam[/name_u], but I myself thought it was pronounced like [name_m]Deon[/name_m]
I think if it’s an invented name without cultural history, you should be free to pronounce it however you want! If you like pronouncing it like Deon, go for it!
