How would you pronounce [name_m]Levon[/name_m]? We are in the US and wondering how most would pronounce it.
I would pronounce it lehv-in or maybe LEH-von, I’m not in the US though.
[name_f]My[/name_f] instinctual pronunciation would be leh-VAWN. Though Lee-vun or rhyming with [name_u]Devon[/name_u] wouldnt surprise me
Instinctually I rhymed it with [name_u]Devon[/name], but I can also see it being pronounced lehv-in as well.
(I’m west coast US btw )
[name_f]My[/name_f] first thought was LEV-in, but thinking I decided on LEE-vohn
how do you pronounce [name_u]Devon[/name_u]?
Lehv-un (rhyming with [name_u]Devon[/name_u] or Evan)
I pronounce [name_u]Devon[/name] “dehv-un”, same as @Greyblue does.
leh-VAWN
leh-VAWN or like “Le” (French prn.) + Vawn
I instantly thought LEE-von. I tried [name_m]Levon[/name_m] rhyming with [name_u]Devon[/name_u], but it didn’t work for me. I could see LEH-von working though.
One of the big debates!
I would say Le-VONN and then guess LEEV-on - but I’ve heard LEV-in, LEE-von, LE-vawn and I think Levon Helm had his own way of pronouncing it.
The only [name_m]Levon[/name_m] I know says it LEE-von!
I think I’m influenced by [name_m]Lebron[/name_m] but I’d say it in two syllables. Leh- Vohn
I’m not familiar with this name. I can think of two pronunciations which you might encounter. LEV-uhn (like Devon) and luh-VON (like LeBron James)
[name_f]My[/name_f] first thought was luh-VON (luh like lunch).
But I wouldn’t be surprised if it rhymed with [name_u]Devon[/name_u].
I’m in the UK.
LEE-von was my first thought. I also wouldn’t be surprised if it was LEV-inn. I’m in the western US.
LEE-von, because of the [name_u]Elton[/name_u] [name_u]John[/name_u] song.
Agree!
Leh von
