Have you ever met anyone named [name_u]Aviv[/name_u]? Wondering how folks would pronounce the name “[name_u]Aviv[/name_u]” without any assistance Thanks for your help!!!
[name_m]Ah[/name_m]-viv or ay-viv
with viv = veev or viv = vihv?
[name_m]Ah[/name_m]-vihv
But I have never met someone called [name_u]Aviv[/name_u]
I’d pronounce it ah-veev. I feel like i have encountered it somewhere
[name_m]Ah[/name_m]-vihv
ah-VEEV
I think it’s lovely, for what it’s worth!
I would say ah-veev, like Tel [name_u]Aviv[/name_u] (different accents may pronounce Tel [name_u]Aviv[/name_u] differently, but for me it is ah-veev). I know a girl named [name_f]Aviva[/name_f] but have never met an [name_u]Aviv[/name_u]. It’s handsome!
[name_m]Ah[/name_m]-veev like [name_f]Aviva[/name_f] without the -a
I’d pronounce it how I pronounce Tel [name_u]Aviv[/name_u], so uh-VEEV. Interesting name!
ah-veev
Yes, this is what I was thinking. I have also heard of [name_f]Aviva[/name_f], but never just [name_u]Aviv[/name_u]. I think it would be workable, though I myself would probably prefer [name_f]Aviva[/name_f].
[name_f]Edit[/name_f]: And then I saw that this is in the boy names sections! I was thinking [name_u]Aviv[/name_u] for a girl. Well, that changes things.
I think [name_u]Aviv[/name_u] would be a great, unique choice for a boy. Definitely.
like Tel [name_u]Aviv[/name_u] ; uh-VEEV . Beauteous, light, and airy name you have here!
ah-veev. I like it
ah-VEEV
I like it too, but it’s the kind of name I’d feel inappropriate using if I didn’t have a cultural or family connection that made sense.
I’d say uh-VEEV. It reminds me of Tel [name_u]Aviv[/name_u] and [name_f]Aviva[/name_f] (an insurance company here in the UK).
a-VeeeV
[name_f]My[/name_f] SO has a cousin named [name_u]Aviv[/name_u]. It’s pronounced [name_m]Ah[/name_m]-VEEV.
I’d say [name_m]Ah[/name_m]-veev, like Tel [name_u]Aviv[/name_u].
uh-VEEV for me. Exactly like Tel [name_u]Aviv[/name_u].
