[name]How[/name] would you pronounce Aelyse and what do you think of this name?
I would pronounce it like a cross between [name]Alice[/name] and [name]Elise[/name] - Ay-[name]Lee[/name]-s.
I think it is very pretty, but the spelling and pronounciation may be confusing
I would say ay-[name]LEESE[/name]? It’s sort of intriguing, but honestly, I prefer the simple, classic [name]Elise[/name], and Aelyse looks a bit of a mess, spelling-wise. I do think it has an interesting sound, and the spelling is very ethereal, though.
I agree 100%.
I love the name [name]Elise[/name]. But, after seeing posts on other sites from people who have “unique” spellings of their name, I don’t think I could go for something so far from the original. Almost all of them seem to hate it, because they’re always having to explain/spell it. It’s usually still gotten wrong (on important documents) even though it has been explained. And, they always felt left out with having no options to have all of the little personalized things that kids go through a stage of wanting.
I would pronounce it as Eye-leese.
“ay lees” or “eye lees”
I’d probably pronounce it ai-lees.
I thought Ay-lease before seeing anyone else’s post. Looks like that’s a consensus more or less so far.
ay-lice or ay-leese
Looks like a youneek spelling of [name]Elise[/name].
ay-[name]LEESE[/name]. I don’t think I like it because there are other names starting with “Ae” that I like more, that are legit. [name]Aeliana[/name], [name]Aeronwen[/name] and Aegina (from Greek myth).
I would probably pronounce the name Aelyse as Ay-[name]Lys[/name] or Ay-lease.
I’m not a fan of the name either way. I think it looks as if someone mashed random letters on the keyboard and came up with it rather than it being a real name.
Perhaps you should consider [name]Elise[/name] or [name]Alice[/name] which are legitimate names but sound similar.
