How would you pronounce this?

I pronounce it Mah-rah

I know two young girls named [name_f]Mara[/name_f] and have two family members named [name_f]Amara[/name_f] who all pronounce it like [name_f]MAR[/name_f]-uh, mar rhyming with car. That being said I also think it sounds nice pronounced like [name_f]MAIR[/name_f]-uh

I would say that as [name_f]Mar[/name_f]-a with the first part sounding like the planet mars and rhyming with far!

[name_f]Mar[/name_f] to rhyme with car. Although I think I prefer mare pronunciation!

MAH-ra. Very pretty

Like [name_f]Maura[/name_f]

I second this! And I knew a [name_f]Mara[/name_f] who pronounced it this way.

Same as [name_f]Cara[/name_f], [name_f]Tara[/name_f], [name_f]Lara[/name_f], etc.

I’d say mah-ruh as in [name_f]Mariah[/name_f] without the middle syllable.

[name_f]Mar[/name_f]-ah, the beginning rhyming with “car”.

[name_f]Mar[/name_f]-uh.

[name_f]Susan[/name_f]

(MAH - rah)

[name_f]MAR[/name_f]-uh (first syllable rhymes with ‘car’)

I would pronounce it [name_f]MAR[/name_f]-uh (with the same sound as [name_f]Martha[/name_f] or [name_f]Martina[/name_f]).
