I came across the name [name]Corisande[/name] and I am in love. I love the way it looks, I love that it starts with a C like my name([name]Cherish[/name]) and I like that it’s virtually unknown. The only thing is I have no idea how to pronounce it. I say [name]Cor[/name]- ris- sahnd, but maybe it’s pronounced [name]Cor[/name]- is- sand- dee? I can’t find how to pronounce it anywhere, and I would appreciate some help from you all
Also, I like how it has the cutest nicknames in the world. If I were to name a future daughter this I could call her [name]Cora[/name], [name]Cori[/name], [name]Sandy[/name]! All so cute!
Thanks
OH! Maybe if you could find the time maybe you can find some possible sibling names?
Thanks again!
kor-ih-SAHND.
[name]Cor[/name]-is-sahnd
Reminds me of [name]Melisande[/name] and [name]Cordelia[/name], though I think they are too close for sibs!
It means “flower of the heart” and is a Spanish name.
Sibsets:
[name]Corisande[/name] & [name]Adela[/name]
[name]Corisande[/name] & [name]Amos[/name]
[name]Corisande[/name] & [name]Jack[/name]
[name]Corisande[/name] & [name]Isaiah[/name]
[name]Corisande[/name] & [name]Lucius[/name]
[name]Corisande[/name] & [name]Enoch[/name]
[name]Corisande[/name] & [name]Eudora[/name]
[name]Corisande[/name] & [name]Lenora[/name]
[name]Corisande[/name] & [name]Genevieve[/name]
[name]Corisande[/name] & [name]Jessamine[/name]
Those are some that I can think that would be nice sibsets!
I would say cor -is - sand -dee because cor - ris - sahnd reminds me too much about crossiants, but [name]Corisande[/name] is a beatuiful name!
This is a sufficiently rare name that I’ve never heard it. nameberry and most other sites say it’s Greek, which means it would have the long E ending. I’d like to know if this is correct.
Greek pronunciation is “ko-rih-SAND-uh” and the French pronounce it "kor-ee-sahnd. [name]Both[/name] are very pretty!
