How would you spell it - Zander or Xander?

My Hubby and I really like the name [name]Zander[/name] if we have a boy but unsure which way to spell it?

[name]Xander[/name] makes sense if it is an abbreviation of [name]Alexander[/name] but seeing as though we want it to be a stand alone name I think I am leaning towards [name]Zander[/name] nn [name]Zan[/name].

[name]How[/name] would you spell it? I don’t want my poor son to have to live with people spelling his name incorrectly his whole life!

As a personal preference I would spell it [name]Xander[/name]. But these days I wouldn’t bat an eyelid if I saw [name]Zander[/name].

TBH I prefer [name]Alexander[/name] NN [name]Xander[/name]

My dad and I were just having this discussion! My best friend named one of her twins, [name]Xander[/name]. My dad was surprised that it was spelled with an X, he figured it was a Z. I’ve always just thought of [name]Xander[/name] as spelled with an X, the Z looks unusual to me.

I know she was going to do [name]Zander[/name] to match with twin [name]Zackary[/name] but decided to give them each their own initial.

I would do [name]Xander[/name]. But I agree, [name]Zander[/name] doesn’t look particularly “wrong” or something.

[name]Xander[/name] nn [name]Xan[/name].

I prefer [name]Xander[/name], but [name]Zander[/name] wouldn’t bother me, as it’s the more phonetic way to spell it.

I think some people could easily mispronounce [name]Xander[/name], so I’ll go with [name]Zander[/name]…but [name]Xander[/name] looks better aesthetically …

I love [name]Zander[/name]! I would spell it with the Z just because it is less likely to get mispronounced.

[name]Xander[/name], definitely. It just looks cooler and more modern to me. [name]Zander[/name] just looks a bit too try-hardish
