Hubby and I need your help!

We have one daughter, [name]Caitlin[/name], and we are currently expecting our second child which will be a girl. We hope to be able to have a total of four children. So, we will have to consider the harmony of names down the road. I have no idea what to name this daughter except that I would like for it to be another beautiful name, as I adore the name [name]Caitlin[/name]. My husband suggested [name]Elizabeth[/name], but I am concerned that it is too boring and has too many syllables to sound balanced with her big sister [name]Caitlin[/name]. Am I incorrect? [name]Do[/name] you think [name]Elizabeth[/name] is a good sibling name for [name]Caitlin[/name]? His other suggestion is that we come up with another “C” name. Would that be a good pattern to begin if we hope to have four children? I love my hubby and he is really trying to help. Please let me know your thoughts.

Well, right away, I think [name]Elizabeth[/name] is a fine sister name. She’s a bit more classic than [name]Caitlin[/name], but that’s nothing to worry about. Limiting yourself to 2 syllable names to match [name]Caitlin[/name] is just as linmiting as using another C name. Which is something I’d avoid, unless you’ve got more than 4 C names you love. (I do but even I wouldn’t use all one letter for my kids)’

If you’re in the mood, I have a few suggestions for a sister for [name]Caitlin[/name]:
[name]Caitriona[/name] (ka-trina)
[name]Roisin[/name] (ro-[name]SHEEN[/name])

You could also try looking up [name]Caitlin[/name] here and scrolling down to see what other lists she’s on. You may find something fantastic! Good luck and I hope I helped a bit!

[name]Caitlin[/name] is a pretty name and very popular.
Somewhat similar, popular names that are like [name]Caitlin[/name] (Sorry, [name]Lola[/name], if I’m repeating your ideas):
[name]Elise[/name] - feels a bit dated, but I really like it.

Some fun Gaelic choices:
[name]Margaret[/name] nn [name]Maisie[/name]
[name]Arwen[/name] - the lovely elf in “[name]Lord[/name] of the Rings”

I think that [name]Caitlin[/name] and [name]Fiona[/name] are so cute together!

I love [name]Elizabeth[/name]! Some more names you may like:

[name]Aislinn[/name] (ash-lin)
[name]Gemma[/name] (jem-ma)

Good luck!

[name]Elizabeth[/name] is a great choice as a sister to [name]Caitlin[/name], additionally it has so many nickname options ([name]Ellie[/name], [name]Lizzie[/name], [name]Ella[/name], [name]Libby[/name], [name]Lily[/name], [name]Beth[/name], [name]Betty[/name], [name]Betsy[/name], [name]Bet[/name], [name]Elsie[/name] etc.) that I doubt the number of syllables will be a problem. It is also well-known so I doubt others will trip over the pronunciation (unlike say, [name]Evangeline[/name] which isn’t as widespread).

I wouldn’t tie yourself into using another C name if you cannot find one that you immediately like. If you do choose to use a C name then I recommend on with a different sound to the ‘cuh’ sound of [name]Caitlin[/name] eg sh as in [name]Charlotte[/name], ss as in [name]Cecilia[/name].

Some other suggestions to go with [name]Caitlin[/name]:
[name]Niamh[/name] (neev)

[name]Caitlin[/name] & [name]Bethany[/name]

[name]Lola[/name], I was just reading an article in [name]Domino[/name] and there were two sisters named [name]Caitlin[/name] and [name]Tamsin[/name]! I think those two names go so well together. I also think [name]Elizabeth[/name] works great with [name]Caitlin[/name]. Some other favorites from those that have been mentioned:

[name]Caitlin[/name] and [name]Nora[/name] (love this one!)
Caitlina and [name]Fiona[/name]
[name]Caitlin[/name] and [name]Annabelle[/name]
[name]Caitlin[/name] and [name]Emmeline[/name]
[name]Caitlin[/name] and [name]Zoe[/name]

A few more ideas:
[name]Caitlin[/name] and [name]Harper[/name]
[name]Caitlin[/name] and [name]Maura[/name]
[name]Caitlin[/name] and [name]Darcy[/name]

my name is [name]Caitlin[/name] [name]Zoe[/name], and as mentioned above, i think [name]Zoe[/name] sounds great with [name]Caitlin[/name]. I also think that [name]Miranda[/name], [name]Cecilia[/name], [name]Kylie[/name], [name]Rhiannon[/name], [name]Kendall[/name], [name]Olivia[/name], [name]Grace[/name], [name]Colleen[/name], [name]Maeve[/name] all go nicely with [name]Caitlin[/name].
I also dont think the number of syllables is something to worry too much about.
i’m sure you’ll find the right name
