Anyone has any thoughts on the name [name_m]Huck[/name_m]? I know it can rhyme with the f-bomb but that doesn’t really bother me. I knew someone named [name_m]Buck[/name_m] in middle school and that was never even brought up.
I absolutely [name_f]ADORE[/name_f] this name! I cant bring myself to use [name_m]Huckleberry[/name_m], although I do love it. The middle name has to be [name_m]William[/name_m] (family name). Any thoughts? I could really see myself actually using this on our next if its a boy
I think it is adorable. It would really depend on your last name on whether or not I would choose it. I also love [name_m]Tucker[/name_m] from your signature.
I love [name_m]Huck[/name_m]! [name_m]Brad[/name_m] [name_u]Paisley[/name_u] and his wife have a son named [name_m]William[/name_m] [name_m]Huckleberry[/name_m], whom they call “[name_m]Huck[/name_m]”. That was my first thought when I read your post. I think [name_m]Huck[/name_m] [name_m]William[/name_m] is a great name, but I think putting [name_m]William[/name_m] in the front spot could be a good compromise if [name_m]Huck[/name_m] seems too short or nicknamey on it’s own. Also, two other names I’ve heard of to get to [name_m]Huck[/name_m] are [name_m]Hawthorne[/name_m] and [name_m]Henrik[/name_m], if [name_m]Huckleberry[/name_m] is too much.
I know not everyone will like it. And [name_m]William[/name_m] is non negotiable for a middle unfortunately. Its a family name that my husband insists on using
I also dislike [name_m]Huck[/name_m]. [name_m]Huck[/name_m] could be used as a nn, but it’s not my style either. I do prefer the previous suggestion of [name_m]Hawthorne[/name_m]. [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] might be a better fit as well.
I think [name_m]Huck[/name_m] [name_m]William[/name_m] pairs well with [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] [name_m]Bear[/name_m].
I have no problems with it. It’s masculine and direct, kinda in the same vein as [name_m]Beau[/name_m] or [name_m]Duke[/name_m].
[name_m]Hawthorne[/name_m] is something I’ve been crushing on and I love the nn [name_m]Thorne[/name_m] but I disagree with using it in lieu of [name_m]Huck[/name_m]. They’re totally different and not reminiscent to each other in style. And I don’t think [name_m]Huck[/name_m] is an intuitive nn for [name_m]Hawthorne[/name_m].
[name_m]Huck[/name_m] gives me a rough and tumble kinda vibe but I don’t think it’s appalling, inappropriate or unattractive at all.
Wow what a thoughtful response thank you! I knew someone named [name_m]Buck[/name_m] before and it has sort of the same feel as [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] to me. So yes I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_m]Huck[/name_m] and unless something drastically changes it will be out boy name
I do love [name_m]Hawthorne[/name_m], but I doubt my husband would.
I like [name_m]Huck[/name_m], but I’m too afraid to use it because of the F-bomb. If it doesn’t bother you, then it’s not really a problem! I did think of [name_m]Brad[/name_m] [name_u]Paisley[/name_u]'s boy, [name_m]William[/name_m] [name_m]Huckleberry[/name_m] nn [name_m]Huck[/name_m]. [name_m]Hawthorne[/name_m] seems like an awesome option for you, and [name_m]Hawthorne[/name_m] [name_m]William[/name_m] would be an amazing name.
I like it. [name_m]Hawthorne[/name_m] nn [name_m]Huck[/name_m] makes no sense, so I would stick to just [name_m]Huck[/name_m] if that’s what you think will suit your son.
