I once met a Hungarian girl named Tunde (properly spelled Tünde, I think). I believe it means “fairy”. Oh, and I knew one named Anikó as well. I’ve also come across the Hungarian male names [name_m]Attila[/name_m], [name_m]Ferenc[/name_m], [name_m]Lajos[/name_m], & [name_m]Laszlo[/name_m]. All great names!

Behind the Name (linked above) has a pretty extensive list.

Hungary also releases a top 100, if you want to know what names are popular now.

Some of them might be challenging to pronounce if you don’t speak the language.

I haven’t met many Hungarians (there just isn’t a large community in my area) but I do recall meeting a Szilvia (pronounced similar to Sylvia).
