[name_f]My[/name_f] thoughts exactly.
Not for a girl. Too violent.
I can honestly say I hate the name [name_u]Hunter[/name_u]. [name_m]Just[/name_m] no, especially for a little girl. Like it has been previously said, way too violent and masculine. And the name of [name_f]Margot[/name_f] [name_u]Hunter[/name_u] is just not cute. Please no [name_f]Margot[/name_f] is a beautiful name and it just looks and sounds silly next to [name_u]Hunter[/name_u]
There was a female model in the 80’s with the name [name_u]Hunter[/name_u] Tylo.
I could see it working as a middle perhaps but the concept of hunting bothers me so I find it offputting.
The name in general comes across as very masculine and harsh. I’d never consider it for a child, especially a girl.
I prefer it on a girl: it isn’t my style, but I wouldn’t bat an eyelid if I met one. I think that [name_u]Hunter[/name_u] [name_f]Margot[/name_f] works nicely: [name_u]Hunter[/name_u] loosens [name_f]Margot[/name_f] up a bit, whereas [name_f]Margot[/name_f] lends some classic charm and endurance to [name_u]Hunter[/name_u].
I think hunter is too boyish but then again I love the name [name_m]Lincoln[/name_m] for a girl so go with what your heart says! Personally I would use it for a boy but it isn’t too bad on a girl. But I would suggest [name_u]Piper[/name_u]? It has a similar feel to hunter for me!

[name_u]LOVE[/name_u] it. And who cares what other people think, really. If you love it, use it. We almost used it for our daughter’s first name, but went with it for her middle just because it sounded best there rhythmically. To me, it’s actually soft and pretty, like the color. We’ve gotten so many compliments on it- sometimes I wish we had gone with it for her first name!
It made me think of [name_f]Katniss[/name_f] (the character not the name) right away and the Hunger Games! Sounds pretty cool to me if you want your daughter to have that tough/resilient/caring/sacrificing for others/survival spirit. If I hadn’t thought of [name_f]Katniss[/name_f] right away I probably wouldn’t like it but when I look at it like that it’s more appealing to me!
I wouldn’t want my name to be [name_u]Hunter[/name_u] therefore wouldn’t name my daughter [name_u]Hunter[/name_u]. I’m not gonna say masculine, anyone can hunt, women can hunt too, but it is an unnecessarly violent name.
I am not fond of it, it kind of conjures up a femme fatale kind of image to me, I only like it for a cute little boy I once read about in a book.
I think [name_f]Margot[/name_f] [name_u]Hunter[/name_u] works well
