Hypothetical Third Girl

We’re planning to adopt in the near future, which could obviously be either boy or girl.
For a boy, I feel like I’ve endless name possibilities, but for a girl I’m having more trouble.
Not that this would last all the way to the end of the naming, but … I like thinking about it.

So, help me come up with a list for my hypothetical third girl.

Sisters [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] and [name_f]Mae[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]. I’m not as concerned with it ‘going’ with our son, [name_m]George[/name_m] [name_u]Quincy[/name_u].

I’d like the name to be a word name (of any kind, though somewhat nature-y would be good, but NOT a flower, color or month!)
I prefer simple un-frilly names. And I’d also like it to be a long-standing somewhat old-fashioned name. Well-established as a name (and a word, obviously), but not too popular (when we named [name_f]Violet[/name_f], her name was out of the top 100).

So far I’ve come up with the following, none of which I’m super fond of:
[name_u]Brooke[/name_u]
[name_u]Ruby[/name_u]
Sunna (nn for [name_f]Susannah[/name_f]? I’m not a huge fan of nickname names, though, and I’d rather not)
[name_f]Olive[/name_f]
[name_f]Opal[/name_f]

I love all your kids’ names! I love how sweet your little girls’ names are. [name_m]How[/name_m] about:

[name_f]Alice[/name_f]
[name_f]Clara[/name_f]
[name_f]Lydia[/name_f]
[name_f]Celia[/name_f]

[name_f]Olive[/name_f], I think, fits in wonderfully with your other children. [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] immediately popped into my mind, as did [name_f]Laurel[/name_f].

Other ideas:
[name_f]Pearl[/name_f]
[name_u]Sage[/name_u]
[name_f]Fern[/name_f]
[name_f]Myrtle[/name_f]
[name_f]Lark[/name_f]
[name_f]Saffron[/name_f]
[name_f]Willow[/name_f]
[name_f]Savanna[/name_f]
[name_f]Aster[/name_f]
[name_f]Clementine[/name_f]
[name_f]Bryony[/name_f]
[name_f]Evening[/name_f]
[name_f]Flora[/name_f]
[name_f]Briar[/name_f]

[name_f]Celeste[/name_f] was the first name that came to mind when I read your girls names. From your list my favorite is [name_u]Ruby[/name_u]. I second The suggestion of [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] too. [name_f]One[/name_f] other idea I had is [name_f]Ardith[/name_f]. While not exactly a word name it does mean Flowering [name_m]Field[/name_m]

Thanks for the lists, those are all great!
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] was a big favorite of my DH’s for [name_f]Mae[/name_f]… I just couldn’t get on board with how matchy it was with [name_f]Violet[/name_f], being both a plant AND a color. I still dunno, aside from that it would be perfect!
[name_f]Alice[/name_f] was also on [name_f]Mae[/name_f]'s list.
[name_f]Celeste[/name_f] is gorgeous, I will put that on this list, even though it doesn’t fit my rules. You never know when I will throw the rules out, right?
[name_f]Laurel[/name_f] is nice, for some reason I don’t love it, but it definitely fits, same with [name_f]Flora[/name_f].
[name_f]Myrtle[/name_f] is freaking awesome, hadn’t thought of it at all! - my only qualm being that it starts with M, and we already have an M
Hadn’t thought of [name_f]Fern[/name_f] either, which is now definitely on the list.
Thanks for all the suggestions, any others? I know there are some I’m missing ([name_f]Myrtle[/name_f], [name_f]Fern[/name_f]) that are out there!

I love [name_f]Opal[/name_f] on your list!! [name_f]Celeste[/name_f] is also great and kind of word-y. I love [name_f]Flora[/name_f] but I agree with your rule to avoid flowers, colors and months if possible.
[name_m]How[/name_m] about some virtue names: [name_f]Constance[/name_f], [name_f]Honor[/name_f], [name_f]Joy[/name_f], [name_f]Felicity[/name_f], [name_f]Hope[/name_f]
ooh, what about [name_f]Beryl[/name_f]?
[name_f]Cassia[/name_f]

[name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_f]Naomi[/name_f]… [name_f]Fiona[/name_f]… [name_f]Lydia[/name_f]… [name_f]Hazel[/name_f]?

I vote for [name_f]Holly[/name_f]!

Although from your list I really like [name_u]Ruby[/name_u].

Other suggestions:
[name_f]Lark[/name_f]
[name_f]Willow[/name_f]
[name_u]Linden[/name_u]
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f]
[name_u]Robin[/name_u] or [name_f]Robyn[/name_f]
