Many, many years ago, I made an account here when I was in my late teens. Today, I finally get to announce the birth of my own baby.
R@gn@r Le0n arrived exactly a week before Christmas, four days before his actual due date, and a day before a scheduled induction. I had a long 38 hours labor and an unplanned c-section, but he’s perfect.
His first name is something I’ve had on my list for a long while, but never thought would be the final choice. I want something cool and not popular but not unheard of. His dad wants something with a strong meaning and he immediately loved R@gn@r when I mentioned it. I wasn’t completely sure at first but as it got so close to his birth, nothing else felt right.
We didn’t tell anyone the name until after birth. And after meeting him, well, he is a R@gn@r.
Le0n is simply one of my favorite names. I love the sound and the meaning, plus I have a rule to always pair unusual name with something more familiar. I also like that when spelled backwards, it becomes noel. His dad and I met for the first time right on Christmas day and last Christmas, we were home with our newborn. It’s a very subtle connection, but one that makes me smile.
Congratulations! [name_f][/name_f] I’m thrilled to hear he’s doing so well. [name_f][/name_f] I love the name, especially with the subtle connections to you and your husband’s relationship as well as his own birth.
